This tropical plant can’t tolerate cold weather so it becomes dormant. It’s not dying, it’s just trying to survive the seasonal change. So, you did the right thing when you brought it inside. The leaves may drop off. It’s still not dying. There is the danger of getting overwatered during this time, so reduce the frequency of watering. Dormant plants need less water. And remove any dead leaves. I hope it will recovery, continue to sleep through the winter and wake up for Spring. 🙂
