About Aluminum Plant
Pilea plants are native to regions worldwide, and often have succulent, water-storing leaves. A handful of them are grown as houseplants, but the rest of the 600+ species are wild plants. Their name comes from the Latin for 'felt cap' which refers to the unique way that their fruits are protected. Fossils of Pilea species have been found dating back over 5 million years ago!

Hey everyone! My Aluminum baby dropped this arm last night and I don’t have much expieriance with this plant. I just wanna know if it is supped to have hanging arms or if it looks sad? Very quick growth and had the most beautiful variegation. I keep mine in ~65% humidity under grow lights with an inch of spagnum moss covering the soil and she thrives.

I’m a beginner plant mom and this one is super easy. I have it hanging out under my grow lamp and water it when the soils feels dry. No issues so far. It’s also not toxic to pets!

So when I bought this little guy it was FULL of spider mites. I ended up making a homage essential oil mix to kill them but didn’t dilute it enough and I burned 99% of the leaves. The stems that did survive, I plucked them off and put them in water in about a week started to sprout roots!!
