How to fertilize Lifesaver Cactus
Most potting soils come with ample nutrients which plants use to produce new growth.
By the time your plant has depleted the nutrients in its soil it’s likely grown enough to need a larger pot anyway.
To replenish this plant's nutrients, repot your Lifesaver Cactus after it doubles in size or once a year—whichever comes first.

I was away for awhile and left my mom in charge of my plants. I came back and my life saver plant is basically dead. I changed the soil (it was soaking wet) and put him in a smaller pot. He is now sitting outside in the sun all day. Any suggestions??? #LifesaverCactus

So I had a post a while back about some little new nubbin growth on my #lifesavercactus, wondering if they were flower buds or new arms forming. Turns out, it was new arms! And LOTS of them!!! 🌵 #cactusclique #cacti #cactus #happyplants #plantsmakepeoplehappy #plantaddict #plantamigos #jesssjungle #newgrowth #planttherapy #plantlove

Lifesaver plant turning yellow Hi all! Any insight on what’s going on with my lifesaver plant? I notice it’s turning yellow 😢 I changed the soil thinking it may have been staying wet too long. It gets a lot of light under a grow light Help! 🛟

Sabrina finally bloomed today, after dropping to freezing temps, I decided to stick her under the purple and red grow lights, because i heard that encourages flowering/fruit. The bloom was clearly about to bloom I was getting impatient… but my mom said this “Kaitlyn that’s like someone telling YOU to bloom!” 🤭🤷🏻♀️ & that made me think… so here she is now all pretty and looking like SHE MIGHT just eat me.. she has two other baby blooms that are pictured with the flower. Hope you guys enjoy ! #BloomingSuccs #HappyPlants #SucculentLove #LifesaverCactus #Zebrina #CactusClique #SucculentSquad #FreshLeafFriday

I love my lifesaver cactus! It’s relatively low maintenance and survives missed waterings. Just a warning, the little segments do come off pretty easily, so be careful when handling. You can propagate anything that comes off though!
It blooms in the summer and maybe spring (I haven’t had it during spring yet so we’ll see) and the little flowers are so cool!!!
