About Hoya pubicalyx 'Splash'
With over 500 species and even more cultivars, there's a Hoya out there for everyone! They're native to Southeast Asia and their common name, waxplant, refers to their thick, waxy leaves which help them retain water in the heat. They're excellent climbers and will take off if you give them a trellis to grow on. Their other-worldly, star-shaped flowers are often fragrant and come in brilliant shades of red, pink, yellow, and more!

Leaves rotting #Hoya Hi all, I'm new here. I have a Hoya Pubicalyx Splash that I got from a garden centre a few months back, but it's not doing well at all. The leaves are rotting and falling off at a rate of knots 😔 what am I doing wrong and can I save it? It's in indirect sunlight (north facing), not very humid space. This is the pot it came in. Thanks in advance!

I have yet another flower on my Hoya. She must be happy in this spot to keep putting out flowers. I love these flowers. And this one is very fragrant.

Went from hanging to moss pole because she was growing tendrils with no leaves. Hopefully this helps her produce more leaves!!

Not vary familiar Hoyas This is my first Hoya and I’m not sure what the browning could mean. I haven’t taken it out of it nursery pot yet either. And just been lightly watering every 2 weeks maybe.

so i got this #hoya a couple weeks ago and these leaves are turning yellow, are they toast? i dug up the roots and repotted them a bit lower but im hoping it’s not too late 😅 the 2 yellow leaves are on a separate root system than the green ones

Mealy bugs Hi, I’ve just discovered mealy bugs on my Hoya. I feel I’ve done a decent job searching high and low & cleaning all of the nooks and crannies they would be hiding... I’m not sure if it’s paranoia (I’m not sure if I’m seeing bugs or just soil bits like perlite lol) or my need to be thorough & go above and beyond but I’m wondering if I should go ahead and water the plant with peroxide too? What ratio do I use? Tips would be greatly appreciated! I never want to see these things again! 🪲 Thanks in advance! #mealybugs #PLANTMAFIA
