Finding light for Desert Cactus in your home
a window
Desert Cactus may have difficulty thriving, and will drop leaves 🍃, without ample sunlight.
Place it less than 3 feet from a south-facing window to maximize the potential for growth.
Select your region to see how the current weather in your area affects the placement of Desert Cactus in your home 🏡.
How to fertilize Desert Cactus
Most potting soils come with ample nutrients which plants use to produce new growth.
By the time your plant has depleted the nutrients in its soil it’s likely grown enough to need a larger pot anyway.
To replenish this plant's nutrients, repot your Desert Cactus after it doubles in size or once a year—whichever comes first.

Hey! What’s the best pot for my new cactus? I got him today and just watered him, but I saw on the app that he might need a different pot (I have plastic right now) What works best?

Damaged leaves from the store, could I clip off some to make the plant look more balance or will it brown and cause damage

Would you agree? Would you agree that this is a Ric Rac species? I have a Fish Bone (pic 4/5). It’s much smaller that the plant in the first 3 pics. When I researched it, a Ric Rac species of Fish Bone is what I found…I think 🤔 lol if I understood it correctly🤷🏻♀️
