Had to repot my Snake rosettes because they were popping up out of the soil. Today I come out to water and I have a little pup!! I did not see it when I repotted- but it was there because I took a photo after I finished. Update on the flower. It’s rooting! I have it in a shotglass XD, please do ignore that. Anyway, I was changing out the water before I leave to be seven hours away for three days, and I saw a little root! Yay!! I’m a new Alocasia Polly owner- I noticed she was starting to droop so I watered her 2 days ago thinking she was thirsty. She is even more droopy now. Her soil feels dry. I don’t know what I’m doing wrong, any suggestions? The picture with the grass island I swear, I see a yellow and orange flower. Check the purple flowers out they are blooming on the ferns .

Hello everyone. It’s a hot one in Central Florida today. The heat index is 111 with an actual heat of 94. It started raining out, and it is cooling things down a little. I moved to a very rural area of Florida many years ago. I took all the swamp photos that I post. This is a photo of the Withlacoochee River which is lined with thousands of Cypress trees and is near my house. This photo is located off a bike trail. It’s starting to rain, almost ,every day now in Florida. Grass is, quickly, growing very high. I have a large strand of invasive cogan grass in my property. It grows by rhizomes and once it gets started, that’s it. It has been growing wild in the forest behind my house for years now it’s on my property. I gave up trying to fight it.
