Hi everyone, it’s another very hot day in Central Florida. No rain so far. I was out working on my new butterfly garden when the Amazon delivery truck came. They delivered a package of Florida wildflower seeds. Amazon‘s AI says there are 120,000+ seeds in the package. I just counted them. There were 119,994 seeds. Good, Sunday, morning everyone. I have a question. 🤔 I have discovered, literally, hundreds of American beauty berries growing on my property. My friends are telling me I should pot them and sell them. I potted three so far, for my own oasis, and to see how well they do in pots. Do people buy these plants? What do you think? As I mentioned earlier I spent decades cutting mowing them down. Now I am reading that they have many uses including jam, attract pollinators, birds love the berries and the leaves, 🍃🍂allegedly are a natural mosquito repellent. Live oak tree canopy at Cumpressco Road in the green swamp wilderness preserve, West Central Florida. Cumpressco was once a lumber town in that area. Like many, small Florida communities they based their economy of one thing and when that was no longer available, the towns went away. Good morning everyone. Its a very rainy morning here in west central Florida. I hope all is well with you. Here’s a picture of a flower that I took a few weeks ago while hiking out in the green swamp area. My Plant ID app calls it a “Pale Meadow Beauty”. I’m not sure if that is correct. However, I thought it looked interesting so I took its picture. It could be something invasive. Hello everyone, I posted this as, kind of a joke. 🃏I found this growing on my property. Here is some “beautiful” 🧐flowering stink vine 😷also known as a Chicken Excrement Plant 🐓💩 and Flatulent 💨Vine. It is growing in with the muscadine 🍇. I thought the flowers 🌻 looked cool so I took a photo. 📸 This stuff smells like a skunk 🦨 when it’s wet.
