Short story
bought 4 cuttings online a few months ago. They lost their leaves right after 1st transplant from the sponge plugs & then exploded in growth b4 the explosion one drowned in a flood.
Was still cold when delivered so they were very fragile. Iโm not complaining. I got three aggressive growing Barbados .
๏ฟผfor the price I paid I basically bought one got 4.
I do want to say if you zoom in on the last photos, you may be able to see all the new growth thats from pruning it twice. One Branch broke off because of length & a cat so that started the pruning process. ๏ฟผ

@luvmygreenhouse OK well Barbados cherries are more so of a tropical bush normal cherries are a tree and ๏ฟผneed chill hours โcold stratificationโ
One of the easiest ways is to put a handful of cherries in a pot and cover them with an inch or so of soil and leave it outside all winter long next spring theyโll possibly sprout. Compare it to planting a dormant tree.. cherries, peaches, plums, all stone fruit are the same need cold stratification ๐๐ฝ.
Barbados cherries have three seeds instead of one like a normal cherry, but they have about a 5% germination rate very hard to germinate never buy Barbados cherry seeds online๏ฟผ๏ฟผ๏ฟผ

@luvmygreenhouse an easier method to germinate stone fruit you could be like my mom and just throw the peach pits in the flower bed. Falls leaves will cover it. It will germinate itself. We have about a dozen peach trees less than 2โ3 years old ๏ฟผlol good ol yard peach ๐
