What an amazing day! Received the prize for #SpringIntoSummer from #GregTeam and #PlantProper, and the plants are spectacular! Thank you for organizing the contest, and I am all smiles right now 😃 I have ordered over 100 plants online, and this may be the best packaging I have experienced. There is zero mechanical damage from shipping. The soil is not bone dry nor dripping wet (I have received plants with severe root rot from over watered plants). The packaging was also easy to open, and I have damaged plants in the past while trying to deal with difficult-to-remove packaging. Thanks for the awesome packaging @JCPlantProper! The plants look healthy and strong. Took them outside for a shower and a rinse, then placed them in a temporary location before I move them to a better location later. I was talking to Jon on the phone for well over an hour yesterday and he enlightened me on one thing I wanted and thought I needed to share with everyone. #ljplantnursery The best time of day to repot your plants is of the evening. I honestly didn’t know that. Me beingg the curious person I am I had to find out why. Some of you may already know this. THIS ONE WE ALL PRETTY MUCH KNOW: Spring is ideal for repotting a houseplant. Plants often go dormant in the winter and begin growing again as daylight hours increase in the spring. Repotting gives them the room they need to grow. But that doesn’t mean you have to wait for spring. If a plant is showing signs of stress or poor health, go ahead and repot any time of year. THIS I DIDN’T KNOW: Try to repot in the evening if possible. “At night, in the absence of bright sunlight, the plant’s metabolism slows down, so it has a chance to recover from repotting stress,”. #whentorepotaplant

I’M SO EXCITED! 🤗🤗🤗 I finally got one of the plants I’ve been longing for since I started my houseplant collection! 1: My #SyngoniumPinkSplash Thai has a stunning, all-pink new leaf! That SHADE is making me drool! 🎀🎀🎀 2: My #AglaonemaSpitfire is doing *AMAZING* in a potting medium consisting solely of coco chips! 🥥🪴It’s been a month and she is growing so fast with NO issues! She gets nutrients from the #WetheWild Grow Concentrate every time I water. Doing splendidly and now I’m going to try a few other plants in this! Thank you to @EZLennyLance and @TheOddAsity for the hot tip! 3: Speaking of new leaves, my #AlocasiaPolly, Josie, has just given me ANOTHER perfect new leaf 🥰🌿 4: My #PhilodendronBrasil, Leavie Nicks (proud of that name! IYKYK) is growing so fast that I’m about to add another section of moss pole! Look how big she’s getting! Okay so yesterday I went to spend my Christmas 💰 and found something I’d been wanting for a long time. I’m finally a mama to a #PinkPrincessPhilodendron AHHHH!!! 🤩🤩🤩 I nearly screamed in Lowe’s when I saw her. Meet Barbie!👱‍♀️❤️🪴 Also came home with a #LuckyBamboo and a #Aglaonema and they are so pretty! The only downside is…. After I got home I noticed a few mealy bugs 🤦‍♀️ So these three have been treated and are being isolated. I’m NOT letting this spoil my excitement. This is my first run in with these pests, BUT I also purchased some books at Barnes and Noble while I was out and they have a lot of helpful tips. SO we’re just going to keep working at it, checking in, and praying this is resolved 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻 I truly believe it will be. Some times new things come with new challenges and challenges bring experience 👍🏻 Aside from all of that I also picked up some Miracle Grow Leaf Shine and Indoor Plant Food.
