It was all quiet on the home front tonight cuz hubby is sick and dogs are in their beds! I bought a fairy or terrarium pack of 6 when I bought some other plants from Etsy. They got here a few days ago. They are so cute and so tiny!!. I finally potted them late this evening while it was quiet. Now I’m tired and I have work tomorrow. Everything looks pretty 👍🏻, let’s hope they all grow!! Omg 🙈 my family got home at 3 a.m. this morning, and my niece was calling me at 9 a.m. to come get her so she could come steal my plants. 😂✨ She’s too cute! 🥰 Anyway, had to share my buddies I’ve been working on the last couple of days. It’s a little wild, but I was out working, and then all of a sudden they changed, and it was hailing. Good morning, plant people of earth! And #TheWateringHole 🍓 Today I went strawberry picking and brought a basket of bright red berries home with me. It was so fun and delicious. The berry plants looked so healthy! Pictures below ⬇️ 🌵 It’s also eating day for my beautiful succulents. I have 5 kinds. I had to tell the app that it’s not time to water my African violets yet, as they are still recovering from root rot.

#pepermonia vibes!! I’m not usually good at caring for Pepermonia’. I killed many so far but this one my husband bought me a few months ago is beyond beautiful and it’s growing so well. #thewateringhole First huckleberries of the season! 😋 We didn’t find a SUPER great patch of them, but good enough to leave with about half a gallon 💜 We’re also getting lots of raspberries in our little backyard berry patch ❤️ We never have enough at one time to make anything because we just pick and eat them as soon as they’re ripe 😂 What are you all picking and eating out of your gardens/markets these days? ☀️ #debbiedo

Hey everyone! I know this is a long shot, but there's a nursery called San Marcos Growers in Santa Barbara, CA that recently shut down their operations. They're still selling off remaining inventory, including a Tradescantia sillamontana variety called "Huasteca Canyon" they originally collected in the wild in Mexico. And no one else on the planet seems to have it! They're no longer shipping plants, so they can only be picked up in person. So if anyone lives in that area who would be willing to help me out with this, please let me know! I'd of course send you all necessary funds and shipping costs, and also reimburse you for your time. It’s Monday, almost time for dog walk🐕🐾 & dinner 🍽️ here! Just wanted to share a new flower spike on my anthurium bakeri. It will turn bright red and then form fat seeds all along the top of the spike🌱. Last pic is the post-sulfur treatment of the batch of FB Marketplace Hoyas I got from a local gal. The day I brought them home 🏡 I showered 🚿 them & sprayed with insecticidal soap. Never did I consider flat mites. I’ve got many Hoyas and never battled flat mites. Guess if you collect them long enough it’s bound to happen. I’m definitely looking into beneficials with help from our resident beneficial bug expert Nadia @DreamMachine 🏆🙌 for post sulfur maintenance 👩‍🔧. How was your Monday? It’s probably a short work week for many with 4th of July this weekend 🇺🇸🎆🧨🎇🇺🇸. African violet 🤍 My favorite beauty, the African violet named Ophelia, is an uncommon one because she is actually white while most are purple or even pink! I love her dearly but was shocked and disappointed when I found out that she had a minor case of root rot! I found a solution, though it will be hard for her to recover. I had to cut off two flowers and all the buds and leaves that had gotten the sickness. Later on, I had to cut off another flower, leaving her with only one. I put her in a bag as a ‘humidity dome’. She is fighting and is now working on growing some flowers back! I’m so proud of her for surviving through these tough times and still having one flower! Before and after. Well, what can I say? I ran out of spots today in my overflow containers, so when my impulse Japanese strawberries came 🍓, I’m so excited, you guys! My Japanese strawberries 🍓 are Momo Ichigo; Kaorino; Akihime; Japanese Angel strawberries. 🍓 So this was the solution to my problem. 🤦‍♀️🤣 My dogs don’t use this old pool anymore. So I drilled holes, filled it, and made it into a hidden strawberry garden in my backyard. 🤣🐝🌸🩵. I’m going to just copy and paste some quick Google definitions on them if anyone is interested. Momo Ichigo (Peach Strawberry - 桃薫): Native to Tokushima, these rare berries have a distinct, subtle peach aroma and flavor. They are highly juicy, mildly sweet, and not overly sugary, delivering an incredibly refreshing profile. Kaorino (かおり野): Translated as "scented field," this award-winning variety from Mie Prefecture is famous for its vibrant floral fragrance and honey-like sweetness. It is exceptionally low in acidity with a long conical shape and firm, juicy flesh. Akihime (あきひめ): Developed in Shizuoka, this is one of Japan’s most popular varieties. It is distinguished by its elongated shape and melt-in-your-mouth soft flesh. It is wonderfully sweet with minimal tartness, making it a favorite for both fresh eating and "all-you-can-eat" farm tours in Japan. Angel Strawberries (天使のいちご - Tenshi no Ichigo / Awayuki): These luxurious, pale white to blush-pink strawberries have red seeds.
