📣 Hey #GregGang, happy April! Spring has sprung in the West and I think it's lovely! Now it's time for another #GregGivesBackGiveaway! I have been so busy this year that I haven't had a lot of time to be on Greg lately, but one thing I know: I want to keep it real! Since I've been so busy, some of my plants have suffered. It has been #SurvivalOfTheFittest! If you come visit #SarahsGreeenhouse or #SarahsShower, those plants no longer look like the ones in the pictures. Some look good and are #HappyPlants ... but some don't look so hot and they are clearly #NotSoHappyPlants! Since I'm being real, some are even in the #PlantGraveyard 🪦 😆 I know that some #plantfriends post the PRETTIEST most AMAZING PICTURES of plants. Also, in this age of AI, I've seen a few plants on Greg that look a little sus (as my kiddos would say). 🪴 This month, I want to keep it real! Do you have a picture-perfect plant that's in your oasis ... but now that plant is leaving much to be desired? Let's build each other up and show some honest images of our plants. (: So let's do a #GregVSReality post! Take a screenshot of a plant in your oasis and take a current picture of that same plant. Let's see how much has changed. Don't be ashamed!! This is real life! 🌿HOW TO ENTER: Post at least two photos of a #GregVSReality plant from your oasis. Sorta like #BeforeAndAfter #PlantFriendsAreTheBestFriends so be sure to tag some #GregFriends so they know to enter as well! Don't know anyone? Type @ and some letters and randomly select someone! 🌿WHEN TO ENTER: The #GregGivesBackGiveaway is open NOW: Monday, April 13, 2026 through Wednesday, April 15, 2026. About a year ago, a stray cat got stuck in my pool area after falling through the birdcage mesh. It then proceeded to wreak havoc on my garden, trying to escape my dog The cat was fortunately unharmed, but my young burro's tail, Mule, was broken and scattered all over the ground. I was devastated because I had just gotten him looking nice and lush, and now he was in pieces 😢; he looked such a mess I couldn't stand it 😭; it really felt like the end of the world right there. However, Mule was still my plant baby, so I couldn't just give up on him 😔. So I salvaged what I could, repotted every last piece into a hanging basket, and prayed he'd pull through. However, little did I know that burro’s tails are some of the few succulents that will propagate from anything; so three burro tails became several and counting, and the scattered mess is quickly becoming the picture-perfect hanging succulent I always dreamed of, and it's all thanks to that cat 🤭. #HappyPlants #PlantsMakePeopleHappy #PlantAddict #NewGrowth #PropagationStation #SucculentLove #PetsAndPlants #PlantLove #HangingPlants #BurrosTail #SucculentSquad #Succulents

UPDATE My flowering young desert rose (Thar) has finally started to bloom, and after doing some research, I found that this little one might be an Adenium socotranum; which would explain why it looks so different from the rest of its seedmates. Honestly, I thought it was elongating despite being in full Florida sun 😅 (family photo below). This also means that there is a good chance that I wasn't ripped off and these little guys are in fact different species I just have to wait for another one to flower to be 100% sure. One of my desert rose saplings is flowering; it was part of a mixed seed batch, so this one is looking like your common red desert rose. I’ve spent the whole day yesterday trying to determine which of my plants can’t survive the 100 degree temperatures we have in the summer. I’ve moved these inside the house so I can regulate them better. I hope you can help me verify my choices and add any genera that should be included in case I have them. So here goes: Sempervivum Lithops. Burro’s tail sedum. Haworthia, thin leafed Echeveria Crassula ovata Greenovia Hoya Pachyphytum. Pleiopsis. My Oh Happy Plants soil came today! Now I have to figure out how much to mix with my bonsai Jack soil to get the right aeration ratios for my plants out in the greenhouse and inside the house.🤪 I’ve got such different conditions in these places and such a variety of plant species that it’s quite a learning experience.
