Itās a hot one in Central Florida today. The heat index is 111 with an actual heat of 94. It started raining out, and it is cooling things down a little. I moved to a very rural area of Florida many years ago. I took all the swamp photos that I post. This is a photo of the Withlacoochee River which is lined with thousands of Cypress trees and is near my house. This photo is located off a bike trail. For several days I thought my Lithop was dying possibly from over watering. It had turned brown and crunchy on the top and looked like it was about to burst. Yesterday, after looking at it closely I realized it was shedding its leaves. Up until now I have never seen a little lithop loose leaves. š¤. Here is a closeup photo I just took. Here is a photo of an aloe that was given to me this morning. This is a rescue plant. Its owner, sadly, did not want it. When I get it back to my house I will start working on it. Better pot, better soil and I will prune those brown edges off. It was covered in Spider-Mite Webs.
