One of my desert rose saplings is flowering; it was part of a mixed seed batch, so this one is looking like your common red desert rose. I am so excited here. I think my Indian shot is coming back, which is so great! We have a patch of middle dirt between us and the neighbors. I’ve been trying to find things to grow there, and I finally planted two jujube and an almond tree this year, but the Indian shot I planted last year is coming back! That’s pushing the zone here with 4 trees that shouldn’t grow here. Second year: two olive trees 🫒; second year: myer lemon tree (although it’s taken a bad hit; my plant killer saga got to it.. 🤦‍♀️) then today I got to plant my cold hardy orange 🍊 mandarin tree! - that’s a first year, but it’s two gallons so it’s pretty ready for this! Can’t wait. It’s going to take a lot more to get it to survive, but the start is great! 😊 Teddy was helping me figure out how big our hole was. 🤣 I love Ted, and Awsha and her daughter Siggy were out sleeping while I worked around them. I got these adorable baby plants yesterday! They were only $3 each and the seller was super nice. One is a Chinese Money Plant and the other is a pink turtle vine (callisia repens) whiich I have been known to kill before 😅 I’ve learned a lot since my last turtle vine and I’m hoping to do better now! Still any advice on either of these plants is much appreciated.. UPDATES I’ve been on and off Greg a lot, since I started my plant journey. I love sharing my plants and helping people with their questions the best I can, but sometimes life just gets in the way. This room, my main plant room has benn under renovation and is still not finished, but we are getting close. Work, as usual, has been completely chaotic and I have been super involved in other projects whoch barely leave me any time for gregers (I hope I wrote that right). So as I am sharing how my plant space is coming along, I can also tell that most of my plants do not grow due to the fact that I keep cutting them down and propagating. I cannot show you how big my monstera albo was, but I can tell you it was higher than 170 cm and now that’s her with 3 leaves. Anyways I will try to update my oasis as well, and we will see how this goes, but I will try to keep up with Greg. Also I have this New Year’s resolution where I wanted to read 1 book every month. I’m really into witch stuff at the moment, but my favourite book of all times is 100 years of solitude, any recommendations?
