I am so excited here. I think my Indian shot is coming back, which is so great! We have a patch of middle dirt between us and the neighbors. I’ve been trying to find things to grow there, and I finally planted two jujube and an almond tree this year, but the Indian shot I planted last year is coming back! That’s pushing the zone here with 4 trees that shouldn’t grow here. Second year: two olive trees 🫒; second year: myer lemon tree (although it’s taken a bad hit; my plant killer saga got to it.. 🤦♀️) then today I got to plant my cold hardy orange 🍊 mandarin tree! - that’s a first year, but it’s two gallons so it’s pretty ready for this! Can’t wait. It’s going to take a lot more to get it to survive, but the start is great! 😊 Teddy was helping me figure out how big our hole was. 🤣 I love Ted, and Awsha and her daughter Siggy were out sleeping while I worked around them. @DreamMachine ha ha ha it is me! I had to put up a photo we found of the three of us kids. I’m the one in the pink; and I had just given myself my first haircut. I found scissors ✂️ and really wanted a buzz like my brother Steve. I still remember my mom holding my cut-off hair crying. 😢 🤦♀️ I had hair to my waist and we were just about to do family photos. 🤣🤣 My poor mother 😬🤦♀️
