Is it normal for a PPP to show orange hues as the leafs harden off? I don’t think this is rust fungus, but I could be wrong. Would 12 hours of grow lights do this? Any and all information is appreciated!

Good morning everyone. Here’s a photo of my impending butterfly garden. It’s all native Florida plants. The plants in the foreground are plants I bought at the local Master Garden nursery. (tickseed, white and pink milkweed, blanket flowers, porter weed, chaste trees, and Florida paintbrush.) Towards the back of the photo are seeds that I put in a week ago. I planted more seeds yesterday. I will post updates. For my birthday me and a couple of my friends went plant shopping! So wanted to show yall my b-day plant hall! #TheWateringHole Good afternoon 🌞 and happy Monday to all my #TheWateringHole friends! After a couple of crazy busy weeks at work, followed by working some over the weekend, I’m enjoying a rare weekday off! Did a little watering before heading out for an out of town doctor appointment. After getting back and having a late Waffle House brunch, I’ve been finishing up the watering and doing a little oasis re-arranging to make more room. Pic one is on my way home from the our local Ingles grocery store with my new philodendron Birken I bought after encouragement from my plant 🪴 addiction enabler aka my husband. While looking 👀 the department manager came over to help. We talked plants for a few minutes and she let me know when they get deliveries 🚚 . Grocery stores have upped their plant 🪴 game in recent years. What’s your favorite grocery store plant source? Pic 2 is my new leaf 🍃 my starfish snake 🐍 plant is pushing out. It’s a slow grower so I get real excited to see new growth. I really want it to produce pups, but looks like I’ll have to keep waiting. pic 3 is my moonshine snake 🐍 plant It’s pup is really growing now! I need to do some repotting, but it’s way too hot 🥵 outside right now! Speaking of repotting, what soil or blends do you recommend for repotting pothos? I’m getting adds for Molly’s Aroid Mix in my Facebook feed? Anyone have experience with that product? So what’s happening at your oasis today? Say hello to Sekka! He's a petrified cypress, or hinoki cypress. (Full botanical name: Chamaecyparis obtusa 'Sekka') Easily the best part of Sekka are those dense, scale-like leaves! I've never seen a wild one, only as bonsai. Its branches tend to grow long and straight, so frequent trimming is a must. Growth has been great lately, all that bright light green foliage is fresh growth from being repotted earlier this year. However, airflow inside wasn't ideal, and as you can see, the inner leaves died off. I cleaned those out and gave it a light trim. Good airflow is a vital part of keeping any tree healthy, big or small; it even helps keep pesky bugs away (in theory!). I’ve got several more of these in various styles, that also need trimming and cleaning up. How about your trees and plants, how’s the growth? Good Morning :) Snoop seems to be entering the flowering phase 🙌🏻👏🎊 The white ‘hairs’ are actually called Pistils , and they are the primary reproductive organ of the female cannabis plant. Pistils actually act like little fingers, their job is to catch the airborne pollen of the male cannabis plant. This would allow the plant to make seeds( or babies). However, I have an auto flowering female cannabis plant. That means the pistils will not catch pollen to create seeds, but instead- the plant will create dense buds . This is the first time I have ever grown cannabis. A purchased 5 seeds. I germinated one of the seeds (using the paper towel method)- popped it in a 5 gallon bucket- and threw it under the sun. My plant isn’t perfect, my setup isn’t perfect- my care is certainly not perfect. But I’m happy I tried. And she seems like she will definitely produce. It is very easy to get discouraged with plants, especially one like cannabis. It’s easy to get into your head from things you’ve read that just tell you it’s too hard- but you’ll never know if you don’t try. I have a fun experiment/ group effort idea: Starting next week- I would love each one you (whoever sees this post and maybe whoever else you want to tag) to find a plant that you thought was to hard to take care of. If you buy a whole plant, a cutting, a corm, ect- it doesn’t matter. As long as you found it difficult to take care of at some point. Let’s give it another shot. All together, we can take care of our “crazy hard” plants. And we can all enjoy the updates that come through this thread, (I’m positive it will read ALOT of success). Because YOU can do anything. No such thing as too hard! And you may not need an elaborate setup or plan 🤷‍♂️ I can make a seperate post with tags if anybody is interested. Anyways, have an amazing Sunday. PS: I am over the legal age of 21. Cannabis planting/ growing/ smoking/ buying ect is LEGAL recreationally and medically in the state of NY. DO NOT engage with this post if Underage. Hello everyone here is a little morning blog from rural Florida. Yesterday I received a package of 119,000 seeds of Florida native flowering plants. In addition tomorrow I have 5000 Blue Sage Seeds arriving 🪻🪴 🌼🌸. 🦋🐝🦜🧑‍🌾. Some of the seeds I plan on planting in my immediate front yard. I would rather see flowering plants than weeds and grass. After that another, big, bird feeder and I brought a hummingbird feeder at Lowes. Lately I have been seeing Hummingbirds in my front yard. At first I thought they were insects. In rural Florida we,often, have flying insects as big as Hummingbirds. After watching I realized what I was seeing. Not a “dive bomber” bug but a Hummingbird 😲🤩 Wow they are cool to watch. I thought I might, as well feed them too. I am turning my place into a haven of resources for birds, bees and butterflies. All my best always. This is a swallowtail butterfly on an aster plant. There are over 25 species of swallowtail butterflies in Florida and this is one I am not familiar with. I think this is a Spicebush Swallowtail.
