Almost full coast to coast. Just freshly potted it into a 9” pot I had, to establish a better root system. Plan to plant it in the ground but going to keep it potted until it gets better established & can have a little time to train it & wire it up to get some movement in the trunk. I didn’t want to go too big with the pot because it doesn’t like much water and thought too big of a pot during winter could be bad. I definitely needs to stretch some roots out in the next couple of months. Came in a 4 inch pot, fully rooted decent amount 4-6” l. Had to untangle them a good bit. I'm especially fond of the zebrina species, and have been gradually collecting them in hopes to one day have all 23 (yep, there are 23 different zebrina cultivars!). My most recent acquisition is the newest official zebrina cultivar called 'MaeVerde'. The lady who named it and got it registered also happens to run my favorite Etsy shop, and I got lucky and snagged the very first one she put up for sale! I decided that I was finally going to drive over to Home Depot. I hate driving on that side of town. If bumper cars and the Indy 500 had a baby it would be that side of town. I have been seeing all over Facebook that Home Depot had Hoyas. They do!!!! 😍 So many at different prices. I didn't find the one I was looking for but I did pick up some cuties. I also got a echeveria article frost at Lowes the other day. I saw a woman on Facebook that used a metal ring as a trellis for a hoya. I attached it with the hook. I just wish I could find somewhere to hang it 😕. She's in a self watering pot but it's not set up like a self watering pot. No wick. I'm using the bottom part to catch the water. I'm using distilled water. I put a layer of the chunky bark and then a thin layer of leftover live spaghum moss i had leftover. Then a layer of the chunky bark to hold her in place so she doesn't fall over. I left some of her roots exposed so I could keep an eye 👁 on them. After doing some Google search I see now they use moss and bark. I thought they only used bark. I want to see if the live is better than that other dried up stuff you buy from Lowe's.
