I’ve never seen one quite like it. It belongs to the woman I just bought my Norfolk pine from. She has a #BurrosTail in another room that is almost as long. TOTALLY looks fake. It belonged to my foster father, who passed away in September 2025. When we were cleaning out his apartment, I took it because it was in a state of disrepair. My foster father was battling numerous health issues, including the amputation of his right leg above the knee, which caused him immense emotional and physical pain. When I say the plant was in poor condition, I mean it was in a truly dire state. I brought it home and placed it in a cup of water. A few days ago, I noticed that it had developed beautiful new roots, so I transferred it to a 10 inch clay pot. This plant is named Kevin in memory of my foster father, who has passed away. To increase the airflow and reduce the humidity around your plant’s roots, use a welding stick (~$12) and punch holes in the botttom 1/3 of the pot. Make it decorative if you like, and no need to remove the plants or soil to do it. Don’t make your holes higher than the 1/3 mark as that may make the pot too dry in the root zone. You can also use a soldering iron to make holes in the bottom (~5) if your pot has no drainage. BTW This is my newest plant in its newest pot. I’m so excited to get my Boswellia sacra outside and into the sun. She’s loving it. If you don’t recognize the plant name by the genius, it’s commonly known as Frankincense, the sacred frankincense. Frankincense is an amazing plant for its resin, otherwise known as “tears,” is considered the finest in the world; but for anyone who prefers to use homeopathic remedies, it’s highly recommended. When I bought him he had the teeniest flower buds, as you can see in his profile photo. That was probably about a month ago. A few days ago they started opening and today they are FULLY open! They smell like dirt and rotting leaves, very pungently. Just wanted to share my gorgeous Ficus Moonshine BUSH with so much different variegation (in my bedroom under a Sansi 24 Watt Grow Light 💡) 😍 It started out as 2 seperate tiny little 3-4 inch bushes, one of which grew new baby branches and mini leaves. I recently combined them together when they outgrew both their pots to make it bushier. Now in a 7 inch pot — soon to be a floor plant and eventually a very colorful bushy tree — next to my Ficus Tineke Tree/Bush!
