Potted up all my late winter cuttings so that they’ll be well-established in time for the craft sale in July! ☀️ After giving a few to my students, there should be about 75 left to sell 🪴 My first try at “mass” propagation (kind of a small “mass” 😂) I’m not sure I’ll do it again, but it has been pretty fun. I was thinking of throwing pots to sell them in, but 75 sounds like way too many to me 😳 So I’m thinking about sewing some bags or something quicker to put them in. How do I care for moss ball plants? I made my first moss ball to hold my huperzia carinata. The root ball was watered and then I put about an inch of moss around it, then watered the ball. It’s been a while plant peeps! Life has been getting very hectic lately I kind of forgot about social media. I got engaged in December so there’s been a lot of wedding planning, and my stepdaughters birthday is coming up so planning that in between has been a lot, in the best way! My love for the plant game hasn’t diminished, I’ve gotten my hands on several more in the last few months I’ve posted. There’s more where this came from, but just some highlights of my favorites. ☺️ #HappyPlants

I am so excited here. I think my Indian shot is coming back, which is so great! We have a patch of middle dirt between us and the neighbors. I’ve been trying to find things to grow there, and I finally planted two jujube and an almond tree this year, but the Indian shot I planted last year is coming back! That’s pushing the zone here with 4 trees that shouldn’t grow here. Second year: two olive trees 🫒; second year: myer lemon tree (although it’s taken a bad hit; my plant killer saga got to it.. 🤦‍♀️) then today I got to plant my cold hardy orange 🍊 mandarin tree! - that’s a first year, but it’s two gallons so it’s pretty ready for this! Can’t wait. It’s going to take a lot more to get it to survive, but the start is great! 😊 Teddy was helping me figure out how big our hole was. 🤣 I love Ted, and Awsha and her daughter Siggy were out sleeping while I worked around them. I’m SOOOO EXCITED and HAPPY! 👀 Looks like my 1 year old Hoya Mathilde is likely going to 🌸 BLOOM 🌸 like crazy for the 1st time (and hopefully keep all her NEW 20+ penduncles for next time 😮) She stopped growing leaves and is only growing flowers, even on all her long empty leaf stems. 😍. She’s a 1st time bloomer! OMG so exciting to watch it go through all these stages 🎉💚👏🏻 1st time I’ve ever been through a Hoya blooming process. None of my other Hoyas have bloomed before. My Variegated Lipstick 💄🪴and Goldfish 🐡🪴 Plants are also currently blooming 😍! #NewGrowth #PetsAndPlants #BeforeAndAfter #hoyas #HoyaHangout #hoyamathilde #HappyPlants #PlantsMakePeopleHappy #GrowLights #hoyablooms #hoyaflowers

About a year ago, a stray cat got stuck in my pool area after falling through the birdcage mesh. It then proceeded to wreak havoc on my garden, trying to escape my dog The cat was fortunately unharmed, but my young burro's tail, Mule, was broken and scattered all over the ground. I was devastated because I had just gotten him looking nice and lush, and now he was in pieces 😢; he looked such a mess I couldn't stand it 😭; it really felt like the end of the world right there. However, Mule was still my plant baby, so I couldn't just give up on him 😔. So I salvaged what I could, repotted every last piece into a hanging basket, and prayed he'd pull through. However, little did I know that burro’s tails are some of the few succulents that will propagate from anything; so three burro tails became several and counting, and the scattered mess is quickly becoming the picture-perfect hanging succulent I always dreamed of, and it's all thanks to that cat 🤭. #HappyPlants #PlantsMakePeopleHappy #PlantAddict #NewGrowth #PropagationStation #SucculentLove #PetsAndPlants #PlantLove #HangingPlants #BurrosTail #SucculentSquad #Succulents

One of my desert rose saplings is flowering; it was part of a mixed seed batch, so this one is looking like your common red desert rose. To whoever threw this beautiful plant in the trash... we're out here living our BEST lives without you!!! ❤️ 🌽🪴 #dracaena #cornstalkdracaena #happyplants #newgrowth #plantsmakepeoplehappy About 6 months ago my husband found this Corn Stalk Dracaena next to the dumpster at work. It was in soil that was hard as a rock. He brought it home to me and I repotted it. It threw a big fit, lost leaves and even dropped whole branches. Yesterday, I saw 3 new stems (the other one is on the other side) busting out of both stalks. I didn't know that it would randomly decide to grow stems wherever it wanted to!! I thought that I would have to cut it to get it to do that! Apparently not! I'm so excited to see it fill back in!! 😊

UPDATE: I totally went back and bought it 😂 I’d just like to share some proof of my will power… Yesterday I was at the nursery getting nasturtiums to plant with my tomatoes. Their ceilings were COVERED with incredible hanging baskets, all for $49.95. Mixed in among the flower baskets were several of these GINORMOUS BURRO’S TAIL baskets.
