It's been a while since I posted, but dealing with life in general hasn't been easy lately. However, I'm thankful for Greg and my plants. Hoya blooms are truly the reward for the gorgeous plants. Three of my beauties are blooming. First up is my Sunrise has passed all expectations with six peduncles blooming at once. Next up my Wayetti has bloomed, she was from a cutting I grew, just love her little burgundy and pink flowers. And third is one of my Crassipetiolata, she produced two peduncles and blasted her first set of buds then she decided to bud again and had given me these gorgeous blooms. Got some new little buddies today! I was laughing. I ordered a black Babylon hoya, and I got a second as a mystery plant on the same day! Ha ha 🤣 🤦‍♀️ Well, who knows? I am THRILLED that my little-hoya-that-could has its first bloom!!! She’s a 1 year old (from cuttings off of a much older plant) that has just defied expectations in growth. And the smell is….DRUMROLL PLEASE…feet! 1000 year old feet! Lolol Or possibly swampa$$? Volleyball socks that were left in a bag for four weeks? A decomposing body? 😆😆🤣🤣🤢🤢🥴😵😵‍💫It’s sooooo bad! Lol!! I’m torn because it’s the most beautiful thing I’ve ever seen! What’s crazy is that if you put your nose to the blooms, it smells like chocolate! But my entire sunroom smells terrrible from it. So interesting! It came!!!! Plant Mail 🪴 #happyplants #hoyahangout #hoya My hoya freckles. So pretty 😍. I got the little USB humidifier at the thrift store today for $3. I always see them on Amazon. Was wondering how well they work. Went to Walmart this morning. They have some pots on sale. Snagged that 6 in for $5. Good Evening, I love coming home to things like this- so I thought I’d share. Major progress on the Mint monstera. I’m 2 treatments into the Captain Jacks copper fungicide treatment and it seems to be working great. I was very unimpressed with the state of the this plant , but now I am happy. Good morning ☀️ plant family! Woke up to this newbie today! Planted 2 bare root day lilies a couple of months ago that I got on sale from rePotme. This is the first to bloom👍🙌. It’s labeled butterscotch ginger 🫠 Haven’t planted my own before, the day lilies in my yard were already here 🏡 planted by previous owner. I have a philodendron Goeldii “mint” TC that I acclimated and it’s starting to show new growth, but it has one thick root pushing it out of the soil and no other roots. Anything I can do to encourage root development?
