Finding light for Swallowtail in your home
a window
Swallowtail can tolerate being far from a window and light source.
Place it less than 6 feet from a south-facing window to ensure it receives enough light to survive 💪.
Select your region to see how the current weather in your area affects the placement of Swallowtail in your home 🏡.
How to fertilize Swallowtail
Most potting soils come with ample nutrients which plants use to produce new growth.
By the time your plant has depleted the nutrients in its soil it’s likely grown enough to need a larger pot anyway.
To replenish this plant's nutrients, repot your Swallowtail after it doubles in size or once a year—whichever comes first.

How do i propagate this? #RedButterflyWing

Wish me luck! 🤞🥹 I'm attempting to get some #SwallowtailPlant seeds to germinate and grow! Everything I have read online seems to say that these are really difficult to germinate (and even propagate by cuttings) so I'm counting it as a success if even 1 of the 5 seeds germinate. 😅 I ordered a heat mat to help keep the temps in the 80s, which is what the seed seller recommended. I'm also following the method in the youtube video that the seller linked. I've got a seedling starter 'greenhouse' for once I have seedlings. 🤞 It's in the only south window I have, out in the garage... luckily, it's pretty warm (84°F) in there and will be warm throughout August. I'll keep yall posted (and mostly record for myself 😆). #newplants #plantsmakepeoplehappy #rareplants? #germinationnation
