Rip my string of bananas, plz help if you can Iāve taken the advice of many on this appāwatering only when the windows close, transplanting her to a well draining mix (~40% perlite 60% succulent soil), looping some of the vines up⦠and today she looks like this :( Iām worried she may actually be over-watered? She also doesnāt get as much sun as she used to, thinking that may part of the reason? Sheās deteriorating so rapidly at this point, Iām not sure if thereās anything I can do but welcoming any advice š

Shriveling string of bananas Hi all, I was gifted this string of bananas about two months ago and she has mostly been thriving. Lots of new growth and plump leaves. Sheās potted in a succulent/LECA mix in a glazed ceramic, however I will admit there are no drainage holes. I have found the soil type dries out easily however and I occasionally bring her outside for an hour or two (30° C) to help it dry out. I noticed some of her leaves were shriveled up the other day and I hadnāt given her a drink in a bit, so I checked the soil and gave her a nice watering. However, the issue hasnāt been resolved. I did recently have to move her from my north-facing window with a grow light into a more dimly-lit room with a south facing window (quarantining during thrips treatment). Thinking that might be an issue? My guesses are so far either 1) lack of light, 2) thrips 3) lack of drainageābut truthfully Iāve been monitoring that closely. Help! What do yall think? Damage.

Little Mr PapaGiorgio, string of pearls succulent is thriving pretty well. Noticed some mold even though I donāt overwater and they have drainage. I added some cinnamon powder to help with that so hopefully it helps

How are these roots? I looked at the roots for the first time in the half year I've had this plant after suspecting root rot. #StringOfPearls

I think my variegated #SOP is enjoying its new spot on my east facing window sill! My sop journey has been quite the learning curve but I think weāre finally getting there. It acclimating nicely so Iāll be repotting her into a terracotta pot. Iāll probably keep her in the same size pot until it gets a little more root bound. When is your preferred time to repot your sops? #PlantsMakePeopleHappy #HappyPlants #PlantAddict

Pretty much killed my sop. This was my first plant, gifted to me by a close friend. Unbeknownst to me, the soil became infested with fungus gnats and stayed far to wet for to long. It got root rot.. Heartbreaking I know. Anyways, Iāve now begun propagating what scraps I could save and will be beginning a new journeyš£
