How to fertilize Spiny Pincushion Cactus
Most potting soils come with ample nutrients which plants use to produce new growth.
By the time your plant has depleted the nutrients in its soil it’s likely grown enough to need a larger pot anyway.
To replenish this plant's nutrients, repot your Spiny Pincushion Cactus after it doubles in size or once a year—whichever comes first.

Hey guys! So recently, me and my girlfriend got these matching spiny pincushion cacti at Lowe’s. After repotting (yes, the pot’s a little small) I realized that there seem to be black buds on it. I’m wondering if these dead buds signal a dead cactus, or if it will bloom once more. I have it in a south facing windowsill and water it every two weeks. Thank you!!

M. spinosissima or no? Hi folks; the app is giving me fits (NOT A GOLDEN BARREL CACTUS, GREG, sheesh), so I turn to the humans -- what's Leathia's deal, do you suppose? Non-silky, non-spiraling (so far?) spines, deep pink flowers (double row of pointed petals) below crown, bit of a redhead, stands maybe 3cm tall -- any theories? #Mammillaria

Lethia *what*. Why. Stahp. Meet Lethia, newly joining the clan and -- based on size, at least -- much too young for what appears to be flowering behavior. Any ideas as to how I can redirect this energy into longer-term cactus health?! #goldenbarrelcactus

Cactus Type?? Hi folks! I'm new here and I was wondering if someone could help me figure out what kind of cactus this is. I got it as a gift so I have no clue so I just picked a cactus that looked kinda like it (Texas Rainbow), lol!! Thanks y'all! J

Little black spots #Mammillaria I'm not sure what these little black things are around my cactus. Overall the cactus is really happy and doesn't seem like mold.
