Wow, yeah it’s rough shape. I’d suggest taking a cutting now of any healthy, green part and propagating. The roots might be done for.

@greenvy in water should be fine. I have a String of Dolphins cutting in a glass of water and roots sprouted within 1-2 weeks. Then you transfer it to soil. But you have to use a healthy cutting.
