@MamaLinne Girl I'm so upset I can't even see straight. Moving on...I can see why!! I love her!! She's so beautiful! 😍 I've got one too but she's still little. I'll tell you who has been a shot caller these past couple of weeks is Ms. Hawaiian Splash! Her vines are growing like crazy!! 💚 I'm adding a picture of my Krimson Princess too. Just because she's so cute and for a minute there I didn't think she'd make it!
@princesspitstop she’s gorgeous! I think what I love about hoyas is that they reward patience and observation of small changes. They’re not splashy, and remind us that growth can be slow and steady! 🪴💜

@MamaLinne the answer depends on which day you ask. I love “Elmer” my Peruvian old man cactus. He looks like how I feel! My other favorite today is my mikado snake 🐍 plant which has finally put out a new leaf.

@HolyLacealoe Thank you Anna! I got my verrucosum in January, and I’m getting my 3rd and 4th leaf here in a minute. It was a wish list plant that I randomly stumbled upon in a teeny little plant shop 😁

Today I’m catching up on my watering and moving some little plants into bigger pots (so hopefully they won’t dry out so fast!) I also chopped the top off my Mother Of Thousands and am looking forward to watching all these little cuties grow! 🥺🌱💚

He’s actually grown quite a bit for only two months. 1st pic is Jan 20, and I just took the 2nd pic right now. Same white compost bin for scale! 😂 And I’m touching the same leaf that I am in the first picture.

It's not my usual banter as I truly believe that love can overcome hatred and that a little respect goes a long way.
That being said...I hafta admit that I literally adore all of our 🪴 plants!
They're a daily miracle and not only clean the air we breathe but, I feel, shower us with their loving vibrations.
It's difficult to post just one but the guy who impresses me with his growth and continous flowering 💐 is Prince 🤴...Silver Dragon 🐉.
When he first arrived at my home, he was sickly-looking and lost all but a few leaves.

Although the best way to handle people that come in hot complaining and being petty then start yelling personal attack is to completely ignore them. When our feathers don't get ruffled they'll stop. Some of us have paid to be here for years and we not only discuss plants we've all become family and welcome new users with open arms which has made the app as special as it is. When someone comes in and starts to threaten my personal space I take that as a personal attack. I'm good though. Today is a new day. 😊 Even though it's a Monday. Lol Speaking of Dragon Scale check out this new leaf it gave me! 💚

@YesWaiuatua7 that’s fair! To be honest, me too, although different plants in my collection draw me in on different days, probably for reasons in my subconscious that I’m unaware of! I think there are so many life parallels with plants!
#TheWateringHole Ok here’s my entry from the succulents’ point of view.. When you have as many plants as I have there are always some outstanding children currently vying for attention. First of all the bloomers currently are acting out for all to see. (E. Firefly and K. Houston’s hybrid ) Then the latest leaf colorizers vie for my attention. (See next post)
And last but definitely not least are the newcomers promising to wow in the future. #TheWateringHole

I've developed a lovely veneer of being a nice person, and I guess overall I am but I love nothing better than ripping someone a new hole if they decide to be unpleasant. As Marie the Aristocat said, "(I) don't start fights, but I can finish them". See, when someone says 'what would Jesus do' I like to remind them that flipping tables and whipping people is absolutely on the table. Anyway! 😂 I can't pick a favorite. They all have different reasons to love them and my variety doesn't help. So today I honor Ke$ha the snake plant for Most Impressive Turnaround. I didn't think she'd survive when I found her neglected in a dark corner actively decaying, now I've got to consider if I want an outdoor patch of snake plants or if I'm ok with it reaching the ceiling in about 2 years.

@MamaLinne as a thin and generally demure woman, I've had several people try to take advantage of the fact and think they can speak/act however they please at my expense. One is currently going bankrupt because I (the backbone of the operation) sent an email for my last check and blocked all communication. Another was fighting back tears after the extremely personal and razor sharp observation of their character (or lack thereof). I'm not mean by default but I do make grown men cry with words alone 💀

@CutePolypremum Is a Mama Bear who loves and protects fiercely. I love Joanie with ALL my heart. She was one the first to embrace me on Greg. I knew from the beginning she was an incredible, kind, worldly and protective loving person. Her gentle soul and yet fierce protection as well as her ability to get to know each and every one of us is unique, generous and makes you feel lie family. I only wish to be half as wonderful as she is. I will ALWAYS treasure you Joanie, I hope you know that!!! Every time we talk I feel like I'm getting a warm embrace from thousand of miles away!

@CutePolypremum Is a Mama Bear who loves and protects fiercely. I love Joanie with ALL my heart. She was one the first to embrace me on Greg. I knew from the beginning she was an incredible, kind, worldly and protective loving person. Her gentle soul and yet fierce protection as well as her ability to get to know each and every one of us is unique, generous and makes you feel lie family. I only wish to be half as wonderful as she is. I will ALWAYS treasure you Joanie, I hope you know that!!! Every time we talk I feel like I'm getting a warm embrace from thousand of miles away!

@CutePolypremum sometimes you just gotta slap someone in the feelings, spank them with personal observations and me, my feelings can only be hurt if I value their opinion. I think there's been far too much cheek turning, I will punch a bully in the face irl and prove it was warranted by a jury of my peers. Don't ask how I know this.

@CutePolypremum you'll have to excuse me there, I grew up and still live in an area where being kidnapped and later dumped lifeless in a ditch is a very real possibility. If the cops had the ability to respond in less than an hour, I might have a different attitude, but around here you carry a firearm not because you think it looks cool but because you never know if that meth addict is going to make good on trying to remove your head with a piece of rusty barbed wire and a utility blade ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

I don't even qualify to open one so 🤷 I know you didn't mean to sound condescending, and I mean that genuinely. It's just that people who have never had to choose between electricity and groceries for the week kinda. Don't get it.

I'm not starting an argument 🙂 but you don't know anything about me or my life.
Just a few things...
We lived off the grid for years, hauling water and using an outhouse.
I've been extremely poor, often living on rice for months.
I had typhoid while penniless in Greece but somehow survived.
We lived with villagers in India for years...bucket baths, bathroom in the fields, eating off banana
leaves...
Homeless in foreign countries but enjoyed living and traveling in our Volkswagen bus, selling our crafts along the way.
Sometimes when we did well, we splurged on a hotel/pension.
Other times....not so easy.
These experiences have made me a stronger person and I appreciate having gone through them because they also made me the person I am today, appreciating simple things and helping others whenever possible.
Please don't put me down because I abhore violence!
I live on my small Social Security check and get by month-to-month just fine.
I feel blessed and happy.
Having plants has added such a good thing to my life and for this I'm grateful 🙏🏻. The real bonus is our awesome Greg Community and loving, enjoying, learning, sharing, and helping each other.
