GA plant family hope everyone is enjoying their weekend this far
I just noticed that one of my snake plant tips is turning brown. Itβs not wet. Itβs not overwatered, but this is the second one thatβs turned at the tip: Any suggestions? #PlantsMakePeopleHappy #SnakePlant #TheThread #TheWateringHole #brunchataudreys #SucculentSquad #GregGang

@Preciousplants1 No Snake plants are very resilient. If there is something going on under there you'll want to address it soon or the chances of you losing it will increase.
@Preciousplants1 Have you repotted it or done anything new to it recently?
@princesspitstop yes I had to repot it because there was some root damage not rot but soft. One leaf turned yellow and melted
@princesspitstop sorry hi Heidi π
@Preciousplants1 it might just be adjusting to the repot. Just keep an eye on it. If it continues to turn you might not have removed all of the root damage and it's causing it to spread underneath the soil.
@Preciousplants1 Hi Sherri ππ
@princesspitstop Heidi you might be right because there are 3 roots in this one pot and all the other leaves are nice and firm but this one not so firm.
Iβll just keep and eye on it. Thank you ππ½

@Preciousplants1 if that's the case then I would take a look at the roots sooner than later. When there is a root issue it tends to spread to healthy roots so you want to stop that as soon as possible to prevent it from affecting the rest of the plant.
@princesspitstop will it damage the other roots to repot again so soon. Itβs only been about 2 weeks?
@princesspitstop Iβm really not wanting to loose the plant itβs one of the few I have left. π³
@Preciousplants1 You know what you're looking for when you see it. You'll want to remove any yellow, mushy and smelly roots completely. Also spray the roots with peroxide to make sure all the bacteria is gone as well. Even if you've left a small bit behind it will end up spreading.
@Preciousplants1 It's best to catch it as soon as you can. What you see happening above the soil is in direct relation to what's going below the soil. We've done this before π You got this!!
@princesspitstop thanks Heidi Iβll get right on it
@Preciousplants1 I'm right here if you need me ππ
@princesspitstop thank you ππ½
