I just had to share some of my favorite flowers and plants. First is my newest leaf on my kitchen Zebrina; Blue Spur; Parsley; strawberry patch #1, and lastly my raspberries: and yes, they are definitely a mess 😂🤦‍♀️. #HappyPlants #PlantsMakePeopleHappy #PlantAddict #NewGrowth #SucculentLove #PlantTherapy #GrowLights #PetsAndPlants #MonsteraMonday #PlantCorner #BeforeAndAfter #PlantShelfie #TheThread #TheWateringHole #RarePlants #PlantID
That zebrina leaf is gorgeous! Mine is finally putting out some larger leaves and I just love it.
@Idplantthat Wow! What a big leaf! Gorgeous! Also love those Blue Spur blooms!
@Idplantthat A “kitchen Zebrina” sounds like a must! We are rangling our raspberries this weekend too. I’ll post pics when we’re done 🤞🏻
@MamaLinne love it, Deb! Yours is gorgeous; mine just barely got these massive leaves. Yours looks like it’s about to get this way too! I can’t wait to see yours grow; definitely keep it posted. I’d love to see its progress 🥰
@RefinedSandwort thanks, Joy. I’d never before seen blue spurs till I found this plant (it was a COVID purchase; it’s known as a toilet paper plant). 🪴 When it flowered the first time, I was like, “What is going on? Did I goof this plant? The flowers look all wacky.” 😜
@debbiedo ooh! I’m so excited; I’m excited to see your raspberries. I feel like I’m always in need of some information about how to improve them
@Idplantthat Here’s how it came out!
@debbiedo I love it! 🥰 That strawberry 🍓 tower is sheer genius! What a beautiful set up you have going on. You’ve managed that raspberry patch beautifully. 🥰 I’m not sure if I mentioned this or not, but I saw a post of yours a few days ago saying you wish you could have a lemon tree. If you ever want to, let me know. I have an orange and lemon tree with two olives that I’m pushing the zone with. I’m also in zone 6b, but the rest of the citrus I do inside. Currently, one of my orange trees has four kumquats. It’s their first ever crop, so not great; but will be. If you ever want to though, let me know, and I’d love to help.
@Idplantthat Oh wow, I’ll definitely keep that in mind!! I’d love to see pics of your outdoor citrus trees 🍋👀 We’re still dialing in how to water the 🍓 tower, but it’s a fun experiment for sure…42 plants with a 1-square-foot footprint. We’re on a small city lot, so we have to be creative 😉

On the other side of our yard we have Hardy Kiwi and Champagne Grapes 😋 Not the best picture, but the kiwi are on the arbor to the left and the grapes are trellised on the fence behind the tree.

We’ve been in this house for over 20 years and it’s fun to try new things. Some have worked and some haven’t 😂
@debbiedo, your yard is gorgeous; I planted some kiwis 🥝 a few years ago and only a few survived till now. I’m hoping one day we get some fruit but honestly who knows. 🥸🤦‍♀️😂 I think having a place in Washington in the city is so lucky, and the fact that you have a yard so much better. ☺️ When I go out next, I’ll snag a photo… they are all very small. But they are there… 🤦‍♀️ Weirdly enough, my olives 🫒 have done the best. ☺️ These are very old photos. Saga is my plant killer; she got the lemon tree a while back but it’s been making a comeback. lol 😂
@Idplantthat That’s so cool that you’re growing olives and lemons! Our kiwi started as two little sticks essentially and they didn’t fruit for quite a few years. Now that they’re established they produce A LOT. A few years ago our kiwi arbor came down in the wind and it didn’t get watered for much of the summer. I had to cut the vines way back and thought we might lose them, but they’ve bounced back better than ever. How long have you had yours?
I planted the kiwis three years ago in the back, two years ago out front, and one other one this year. I think next year I’m going to have to get all new plants, a lot of fruit plants because of the late frost just killed the saplings. Ugh. Oh, and the zone-pushing plants, this is the second season from them.
