My plants I was happily working on today. The blue pot Ocotillo, just sold, so he’ll be making a new home. It’s bittersweet, it’s a favorite of mine. My Kalanchos have gone wild. They are a little of a mess. I’m going to have to play with them to grow a little better. .. #HappyPlants #PlantsMakePeopleHappy #PlantAddict #NewGrowth #PropagationStation #SucculentLove #PlantTherapy #GrowLights #PetsAndPlants #OrchidLovers #MonsteraMonday #PlantCorner #BeforeAndAfter #PestControl #PlantShelfie #RarePlants #PlantID #TheThread #TheWateringHole
I’m so excited my Aurea Alzanii variegated is doing so well. My two undultas I’m behind next level of excited! All the leaves in the second and the vines are all from when I got her, and the second is the last and boldest leaves all the others are leaves from my care. I’m so in love with my Syngonium scrambled eggs. And the greenhouse.
@Idplantthat That is a huge Ocotillo 🤩🤩😍🤩🤩
@Ms.Persnickety, thank you for noticing. I don’t hear many people know about ocotillo! So I’m impressed you are familiar. I love these weirdo plants. I always joke and tell people it’s definitely not a plant you want to hug because you love it so much. 😂
@NOLAPhoenix Kalanchoe buds, without seeing them, it’s had to say, but Kalanchoes are very much capable of producing and growing right on top of the soil and rooting. If you have a photo, I can maybe help? I’d be happy to try.
@ILoveMyPlants that’s a great question, it’s costly to do heat by electricity. ⚡️ I’ve recently been looking into doing solar powered and/or natural gas. I have a heater I found from Charles Greenhouses, in Washington. Here is the site, this is where I got my greenhouse, it was a present from my mom. (I have a great mother 🥰) but I do like Charles quality and their services are outstanding. Even with the shipping it was great. But definitely check out some of their heating options. I’m not sure where you live, but some people do candle with sand or volcanic rocks in terracotta pots, and/or big gallons of water because it generates and holds the warmth. I do put big jugs in my garage when I move my summer friends in for the winter. We put it in a garage, which isn’t insulated. Slightly heated by our heaters and a little plug-in fireplace we got and it’s worked great for us. We live in northern water so we get pretty cold and pretty hot.
@NOLAPhoenix I think it is a pumilla flower dust kalanchoe. But I can be totally wrong; kalanchoes have so many varieties that when they are young, they look similar to each other. But if you don’t know, and I kinda found this out a harder way (dang it), kalanchoes as they get bigger will multiply like crazy, and they have a tendency of fighting other plants for nutrients and water if planted with plants. Or they happen to fly into your other plants, that will likely happen. They are mad producers! 🤣
@Idplantthat I have a bigger empty pot I can transplant them to. I have my two teddy bears in one pot. Should I separate them?
@NOLAPhoenix growing together is totally fine. It’s generally other plants that they aren’t great to be with. But leaving together is a great idea. 🥰
