How to fertilize Pinguicula agnata gypsicola
Most potting soils come with ample nutrients which plants use to produce new growth.
By the time your plant has depleted the nutrients in its soil it’s likely grown enough to need a larger pot anyway.
To replenish this plant's nutrients, repot your Pinguicula agnata gypsicola after it doubles in size or once a year—whichever comes first.

#Pinguicula question: What is the best type to get? I live in an area with lots of sun, lots of trees, lots of bugs, freshwater lakes, and boys that have no concept of shutting the doors. I have flies and fruit flies (and wasps and dirt daubers and horseflies- but I think those are too big for the little plants) zone 7b Thanks, y'all!! #PinguiculaAgnataGypsicola #PinguiculaEhlersiae #PinguiculaEmarginata #PinguiculaCyclosecta #PinguiculaMoctezumae #Butterwort #PestControl #CarnivorousPlants #CarnivorousClub

Proud of these little guys for rallying!! They were having some issues earlier this year, but they really picked up and now we've even got a flower!!

I just received my butterwort #CommonButterwort

I just received this little guy from Mountain Crest Gardens he came bare root but there’s hardly any root at all. Should I just lay it on top of the soil and push what I can around the root. How do you care for these. Thanks

Calling all butterwort / Pinguicula keepers! Hey folks. So Clarissa is here and doing lots of work so far. Lots of work. She's covered in corpses is what Clarissa is. What's the #pinguicula procedure? Do I remove the carnage periodically, as one removes the debris from a #venusflytrap? Or are we in #sundew leave-her-to-it territory? #butterwort

Went to a reptile expo yesterday and bought my first ever pinguicula! Each one is different! Anyone have any advice, suggestions, what the different types mean, or any info on these cute carnivorous plants? It never hurts to know more :) #Pinguicula #ping #pings #pinguiculas #HappyPlants #PlantsMakePeopleHappy #PlantAddict #PlantTherapy #GrowLights #PlantID #PlantLove #WeirdPlants #FloweringPlants #PlantHaul #TropicalPlants #boggarden #BogPlants #WhatPlantIsThis #ThanksForPhotosynthesis #CarniverousPlants

Help with propping a #Pinguicula Hi all! So this #ping #CarnivorousPlants has grown like crazy since I got it a while ago. Now it has these vines with roots coming off. I want to separate them and make new baby pings in new pots but I wanted to make sure that I have the right idea. This thing is crazy - it started out as one plant, then over time filled up the pot, bloomed about 1000 times, and now looks like a ton of smaller plants. Can I safely pull those strands apart and try to root them? What should I do? It’s in nutrient-free carnie mix and sits in a tray of distilled water. 🌱☀️❤️🦟🦟🦟

What happened to this #Pinguicula Good morning aaaaaaand wtf. 😝 I was going to pull some babies off of this ping and it fell apart. I have well over fifteen separate plants! This #ping had flowered like crazy about six months ago and now I see… maybe it started dividing at that point? Everyone has little roots and I’ll split them up to see what happens. But literally it was like the whole plant popped off! What the hell?!! #CarnivorousPlants #CarnivorousClub #carnies

Best substrate for a Ping? My little pinguicula is doing better than my last one. However, I don't think she's living her best life this way. What's the best type of medium for her? Soil? Perlite? I lost my last one, because I didn't understand they need to be kept in swamp-like levels of moisture. I'm determined to do it right this time? Any advice? Thanks in advance! #plantsmakepeoplehappy #plantaddict #carnivorousplants #pinguicula #butterwort

Please help!! How do I increase humidity? does anyone have recommendations/alternatives on how to increase humidity for my pinguicula plant or if there’s any humidifiers you recommend that won’t give out easily and lasts long 😔? I had a humidifier for my pinguicula but it stopped working just today and it hasn’t even been a year of having it granted it was nothing special just something small but still a bummer…
