Finding light for Bartolona in your home
a window
Bartolona may have difficulty thriving, and will drop leaves 🍃, without ample sunlight.
Place it less than 3 feet from a south-facing window to maximize the potential for growth.
Select your region to see how the current weather in your area affects the placement of Bartolona in your home 🏡.
How to fertilize Bartolona
Most potting soils come with ample nutrients which plants use to produce new growth.
By the time your plant has depleted the nutrients in its soil it’s likely grown enough to need a larger pot anyway.
To replenish this plant's nutrients, repot your Bartolona after it doubles in size or once a year—whichever comes first.

What’s up with my prickly pear? Bought her from Walmart, who im sure doesn’t care for their plants well, and wanna know what all this is, if I should do anything about it, and if so, then what? Additionally, the pot has this succulent inside that I’d like to repot but I’m unsure how to safely do so seeing how it seems to be hanging on by its roots a little. Any and all help is appreciated <3

#FreshLeafFriday #succulentsquad I purchased a 6’x10’ shade cloth for my balcony, but got a re-run email from my complex of “no privacy screens, nothing hung on the railing.” I could easily turn this spot into a shade fort, but built this Frankenstein’s jalopy. Sixty square feet goes a long way - I still have a ton leftover ha. Twelve dollars well spent. Take that, sun. I only have the hot ones out here, like P. Pringleii, Grey Ghosts, various Brazilian blues, and the Opuntia kingdom. ps I had to get that Pampered Chef casserole dish, long Mammillaria out of the heat. It still had a little bit of mealie problems and broke out of the orchard stand. I had a small metal cup full of a pound of rocks to counterbalance the weight. The dish will probably be the new pot lol. Really, I just want to plant it on a hill and let Nature decide.

#whatthesuccwednesday #succulentsquad Here are the outdoor plants. Some are outcasts in attempts to attract something (predators, the sun) to groom persistent pests - or die trying. Some are just too big - and getting even more unruly! They're doing really well in temperatures that I previously thought might melt.

I just adopted this plant. The women I got it from says it gets a milky scale on it and she scrubs it with dawn and scratches the scale off. Is that normal or is there a problem -plus I’m really not sure what it is-does anyone know?

🌵✨ Behold! ✨🌵 In the golden hush of a desert afternoon, we find Waltz, my Barbary fig cactus and retired flamenco choreographer, striking a contemplative pose upon his rattan stage 💃🪴. With pads like castanets and spines like whispered secrets, he leans ever so gently toward the sun—not out of necessity, darling, but out of longing. ☀️🎭 Waltz is a creature of rhythm and rebellion, a prickly poet who once danced beneath Andalusian moons and now curates silence with the same intensity he once gave to ovations 🌙🕺. His pot—a minimalist noir chalice—cradles him like a forgotten heirloom, while the patio around him hums with the quiet dignity of a well-aged chaise lounge and the ghost of sangria past 🍷🌬️. He does not grow. He gestures. He does not lean, he yearns. And he will not be rushed. Not by time, not by gravity, and certainly not by the vulgarity of symmetry. 💫🌿 #WaltzTheFig #CactusWithABackstory #SucculentSoliloquy #LeanIntoLegacy 🌵👑🖤
