Frostbite? #DroopingPricklyPear is this frostbite on my cacti? The tips are turning pink and purple, and the green is fading. They are growing a ton of little babies off thier sides though. South facing window so lots of light, but I’m in the Northeast so maybe it’s too cold in the window now? #CactusClique #help

#whatthesuccwednesday #succulentsquad Here are the outdoor plants. Some are outcasts in attempts to attract something (predators, the sun) to groom persistent pests - or die trying. Some are just too big - and getting even more unruly! They're doing really well in temperatures that I previously thought might melt.

I just adopted this plant. The women I got it from says it gets a milky scale on it and she scrubs it with dawn and scratches the scale off. Is that normal or is there a problem -plus I’m really not sure what it is-does anyone know?

🌵✨ Behold! ✨🌵 In the golden hush of a desert afternoon, we find Waltz, my Barbary fig cactus and retired flamenco choreographer, striking a contemplative pose upon his rattan stage 💃🪴. With pads like castanets and spines like whispered secrets, he leans ever so gently toward the sun—not out of necessity, darling, but out of longing. ☀️🎭 Waltz is a creature of rhythm and rebellion, a prickly poet who once danced beneath Andalusian moons and now curates silence with the same intensity he once gave to ovations 🌙🕺. His pot—a minimalist noir chalice—cradles him like a forgotten heirloom, while the patio around him hums with the quiet dignity of a well-aged chaise lounge and the ghost of sangria past 🍷🌬️. He does not grow. He gestures. He does not lean, he yearns. And he will not be rushed. Not by time, not by gravity, and certainly not by the vulgarity of symmetry. 💫🌿 #WaltzTheFig #CactusWithABackstory #SucculentSoliloquy #LeanIntoLegacy 🌵👑🖤

Why did my Prickly Pear change plans? 😂 It was making discreet “units” and now is going all on giant piece

🌵🎭✨ Behold! The desert’s tiniest diva has arrived, and she is not here to play second fiddle to your succulents. Introducing… Cactelina Valverde 🖤🐼💋 “La Reina del Rechazo” Born of volcanic soil and scandal, Cactelina emerged from the arid whispers of Sonora with a spine of steel and a blush that never fades. Nestled in her panda-faced porcelain throne, she reigns supreme over the patio ensemble—each thorn a memory, each bloom a betrayal. She once starred in “Amor entre Espinas”, a telenovela so dramatic it was banned in three provinces for excessive longing. Her signature line? “Ricardo… I may be rooted, but I am not yours.” 🌪️🌹 🕯️✨ Personality: • Temperamental but loyal—she’ll prick you, then pine for you. • Aesthetic maximalist—she demands blue-and-white porcelain neighbors and woven textures that whisper heritage. • Secretly bilingual—she understands both heartbreak and horticulture. She’s Moira Rose meets María Félix, with a touch of desert mysticism and a flair for dramatic exits (even if she never moves).
