Finding light for Bromeliad in your home

a window
Bromeliad love being close to bright, sunny windows 😎.
Place it less than 1ft from a south-facing window to maximize the potential for growth.
Bromeliad does not tolerate low-light 🚫.
Select your region to see how the current weather in your area affects the placement of Bromeliad in your home 🏡.
How to fertilize Bromeliad

Most potting soils come with ample nutrients which plants use to produce new growth.
By the time your plant has depleted the nutrients in its soil it’s likely grown enough to need a larger pot anyway.
To replenish this plant's nutrients, repot your Bromeliad after it doubles in size or once a year—whichever comes first.

Help me safe my baby 😢

The flower dried up in my picture but the dryness is going down the plant. Do I cut it? #Guzmania

Water pools in #Guzmania Hi everyone, so I read somewhere that when you water this type of #AirPlant that it’s good to have little water pools between the leaves, and I thought they would be soaked up but they’re kinda just.. sat there. Is this ok or will it lead to rot? #HappyPlants #PlantsMakePeopleHappy #PlantAddict #Watering #PlantTherapy #PlantLove

Discolored leaves, can anyone help? My #DroopheadTuftedAirplant has some discoloring in her red leaves. They used to be a bright, vibrant red, but they’ve paled and now there’s splotches of other colors too. What can I do to help it? #helpmyplant

Can she recover? I am wondering if my bromeliad is salvageable? If so, what should I do? I would greatly appreciate any advice!! I have purchased Copper Fungicide. Should I use that? #Guzmania #Guzmania

Concerned about my #Guzmania Hey everyone! I was just doing the daily check over of my plants, and I noticed these white-ish marks on my Guzmania. I’m not entirely sure if they were there before (on the leaves at least), but I haven’t noticed them until just now, so I’m inclined to say they’re new - especially on the tip of the red leaf. I KNOW that wasn’t there a few days ago. Any ideas what this could be? #PlantsMakePeopleHappy #PlantAddict #AirPlant #PlantTherapy #PlantCorner #DroopheadTuftedAirplant

Can I get some help identifying this one? #PregnantOnion Greg thinks that this is a pregnant onion, but it has small spikes along the sides of the leaves, and I haven't seen that in any pictures of pregnant onions. So I'm thinking that it's probably something else. #plantid

What should I do with the part where the bloom has died? And when should it rebloom again #Guzmania
-
Hi, I’ve not had one of these plants before and seeking advice. When the red flower dies do I remove or let it come away naturally as it’s been like it for a while. Thanks #Guzmania

How do I remove this new plant and get it rotted to grow? First is picture of new growth and second is original plant.
