How to fertilize Gleditsia saxatilis
Most potting soils come with ample nutrients which plants use to produce new growth.
By the time your plant has depleted the nutrients in its soil it’s likely grown enough to need a larger pot anyway.
To replenish this plant's nutrients, repot your Gleditsia saxatilis after it doubles in size or once a year—whichever comes first.

Is my Honey Locust Dying? I’ve been growing this #honeylocust from seed for several months now and it’s been doing great. Recently its leaflets have been turning yellow and dropping. I read that it might be lacking nutrients so I gave some fertilizer. I’ve been very conservative with watering so I doubt it’s from overwatering. Could it be from lack of sunlight or something? Or is it just dropping its leaves for the fall? Any ideas what might be happening/ is this bad would be appreciated! Thanks 🙏🏼

Anyone know what’s happening to my Honey Locust? I’ve been growing this #CommonHoneylocust from seed for about 4 months or so. It’s been doing great and growing a lot. I had it out on my porch getting light from all directions and about 1-3 hours of direct sunlight. I recently moved it inside and things started going downhill. It’s a few feet from a southeast facing window. Not a lot of direct sunlight. I’m thinking maybe the leaves are dropping because of the lack of sunlight so I’ve been using a grow light periodically. Been watering like normal. Not sure why all the leaves are falling off. Any ideas? Thank you 🙏🏼
