About Audrey Ficus
Did you know that all plants in the Ficus genus produce figs? In fact, the word Ficus quite literally means figs! Even cooler, all figs are pollinated by tiny wasps that use the fruits as a safe place to raise their young. 🐝 Ficus plants also contain latex which emerges as a milky sap when twigs are broken. This latex makes them toxic, so be sure to keep a close eye out if you have children or pets!
Taxonomy
Ficus benghalensis

Ficus Audrey, Indian Banyan and Banyan Fig

How to fertilize Audrey Ficus

Most potting soils come with ample nutrients which plants use to produce new growth.
By the time your plant has depleted the nutrients in its soil it’s likely grown enough to need a larger pot anyway.
To replenish this plant's nutrients, repot your Audrey Ficus after it doubles in size or once a year—whichever comes first.

New Audrey Yellowing bottom leaves Hello! I just adopted this audrey about a week and a half ago and it gets no direct sun only bright indirect sun. The lower half wasnt getting as much sun as the top because it was behind a couch arm. I moved it to this location today to see if it helps. I already removed (it was pretty loose) one other large yellow leaf at the bottom. What could this be? She might also still just be adapting. I included photos of the full plant and problem area. Is this normal?

What’s up with my #AudreyFicus ? I’ve had her for almost a year. Haven’t had any issues until now. I water every 7-10 days. Just watered a few days ago and noticed some leaves on the bottom are dying. It’s in the same pot and soil as I bought it, should I #repot it? Or chop it and propagate it? #SadPlant #Ficus #help #HappyPlants #PlantsMakePeopleHappy

Drooping Audrey Ficus Hi all! I’m concerned about my darling Audrey here as she is drooping. I was away for almost month and left the plant in my mother’s care. I told her to water it sparingly since it’s not actively growing at the moment, but I’m worried now she under watered. The drooping looks so sad and I never seen it happen with this plant (I’ve had for a little over a year). Is it an issue of underwatering? Can I restore her with a good drink? She gets solid indirect light, away from a window in a well-heated home. Any tips would be appreciated! She looked so sad to me when I got back tonight and I’m very worried! Nervous the leaves will drop off completely. Ty

Does anyone know what this could be from? It's only on one leaf. #Ficus

Terracotta pot? I know terracotta holds water and can leave soil damp for a while, or it can evaporate faster... do you think it's safe for a ficus Audrey to live in terracotta? #Ficus

Audrey Ficus leaves curling and turning brown or spotty white/brown Bought it 5 days ago from a home Depot in very healthy looking condition but did have unfamiliar white splatters on some leaves almost looked like road salt if I were to describe it. Since then I had it maybe 6 feet from a window semi tucked in the corner of the room with the window curtain open from sunrise to around 4pm everyday and gave it 3-4 cups of water the first day then another 3 cups yesterday due to me thinking maybe this happened because of underwatering. Just checking to see if I was correct or it's something else, thank you The 2 photos attached are it currently with addition the second photo is the white stuff it had when bought, then the attached plant photo identifying it was she day it was bought

Brown spots? Hi all, I was recently gifted this plant and noticed these brown spots on the leaves. I’m pretty new to plants so I’m not sure what the issue may be. I’d appreciate any insight on this, thanks! #Ficus
