Most potting soils come with ample nutrients which plants use to produce new growth.
By the time your plant has depleted the nutrients in its soil it’s likely grown enough to need a larger pot anyway.
To replenish this plant's nutrients, repot your Echeveria 'Dionysos' after it doubles in size or once a year—whichever comes first.

Blowin' up the succulent community today I finally discovered that my lil succ is an echeveria dionysos! I'm told that these little guys need very little water to thrive, but mine is in a tiny 2 inch pot that gets about 5 hours of direct window sun, and I just watered it on the 12th. Greg is telling me I should water it 5 days from now. Should I skip this watering? It's mid September in northern Ohio, so definitely not prime growing season anymore and it's no longer 90 degrees. Any advice would help!

Why is my plant turning white? Like the title said, I noticed my plant is turning white and loosing its leaves. Is it too much water? I don't think I've watered it too much... #succulentsquad #succulents #help

I think my Dyonisos is a goner 😭 I repotted it a week ago and put it away from the window and the grow light. I went away for a few days and I came home to this. The leafs are all falling off if I touch them and a lot of them look completely rotten. It seems like there is a white foamy thing on the stem... Is it still possible to nurse it back or is it done for?

Anyone know where to find an echeveria 'dionysos'? I made a post last week about how I tragically lost most of my succulents, which I was keeping in my graduate student lounge as a "foster windowsill" because my small, dark apartment doesn't have much window space. Some very, very careless human opened windows, in Ohio, in December, and left them open, most likely for the entirety of our winter break. When I came back, all of my succulents had obviously frozen to death. One of these poor souls was my very favorite succ, my dionysos. Shes unfortunately way beyond any chance of recovery. I cannot find one for sale anywhere when searching over Google and Etsy and anywhere else. I only see the similar echeveria 'purpusorum', which has pointier, slightly longer leaves. Does anyone know where I can buy one of these little ones? I really miss her. #echeveria #echeveriadionysos #sadplant

hope you guys are having a great weekend so far! 😊 before I hit the hay 🌾 I wanted to share some of my favorite Echeverias currently. They are tiny but still display beautiful colors and rosettes 🤩 The first picture is Neptune my ‘Echeveria Elegans’ rosette shape especially in the middle, I got him and his sister Jewel, (‘Echeveria Seraphina’) for my birthday. I put them in my super cute turtle planter (posted it a month ago, if you guys remember). I used bonsai jack to repot them. Last but not least is Flo my ‘Echeveria Pulidonis’, which was one of my first Echeverias, & we have had a rocky road but she made such a 360 after I gave her some alone time over the summer. When she was struggling I decided to take her out the arrangement she was in, and repot her alone in a smaller cell with new clean soil. She since then has made quite the transformation. I posted her progress this summer but, it’s worthy for a repost soon 😏 so keep your eye out! #SucculentSquad #SucculentLove #NewGrowth #HappyPlants #Succulents #Succulent #Echeveria #pulidonis #MexicanSnowBall #Seraphina #BonsaiJack #PlantAddict

Wanted to share this after a post from @Charli3Plant had me questioning life & if my PVN (perle Von nurnberg) was actually that.. or a purple pearl 😆 so here I have a comparison of a purple Pearl, PVN, & dusty rose 😊 #SucculentLove #Succulents #PlantInfo #PlantID #plantidentification #Echeveria #perlevonnermburg #PurplePearlEcheveria #SucculentSquad

Apparently my plants don't know what season it is. My Dusty Rose has been growing like a weed and was almost bursting out of her pot. Upsized her so she has lots of room to grow and stretch her leaves a bit. Also had to rearrange my Blue Atoll and Lolita; silly me put both of them in with winter growers-whoops. Lastly, got my Sedeveria repotted with other winter growers. Here's hoping everyone settles in nicely for the winter. #plantsmakepeoplehappy #plantaddict #planttherapy #newgrowth #succulentsquad #succulentlove #echeveria #pachyphytum #sedeveria

Echeveria IDentification I got this mystery Eche. In an order online, I can’t seem to figure it out, any suggestions ?? Also look at the third picture, compared to the first two. She has really filled out and thrived ever since her repot. She loves gritty mix ! I just ordered some more because I’m definitely gonna be repotting more plants with this #SoilMix #Echeveria #identify #PlantID #PlantInfo #GreggersSupportingGreggers #NewGrowth #HappyPlants #BonsaiJack

THE STORY OF SUCCESS (TRANSPLANT SHOCK) #echeveria #fireandice #happyplants #greggang #plantsmakepeoplehappy #beforeandafter #transplantshock #succulentsquad #succulentlove
Echeveria 'Dionysos' thrives in dry soil and should be watered sparingly. Use our water calculator to personalize watering recommendations to your environment or download Greg for more advanced recommendations for all of your plants.
☀️ Sunlight Needs
Echeveria 'Dionysos' requires abundant, bright and direct light. Place it less than one foot from a window to ensure it receives enough light to survive 💪. Select your region to see how the current weather in your area affects the placement in your home 🏡.
🐶 🐈 👶 Toxicity
Greg does not have confirmed data on this plant’s toxicity. If you, a family member, or a pet consumes plant material of unknown toxicity, it’s always best to consult a medical professional.
If you or someone else ingested this plant, call Poison Control at US (800) 222-1222. If a pet consumed this plant, contact your veterinarian or the ASPCA at US (888) 426-4435.
💨 Humidity
Echeveria 'Dionysos' enjoys lots of humidity. Provide humidity for your plant by watering regularly and thoroughly, since plants absorb most water through their root system rather than their leaves. They may also benefit from being placed next to a humidifier.
🪴 Soil
Echeveria 'Dionysos' is very sensitive to wet soil, so choose a potting soil that drains very well and doesn’t retain too much moisture. A good soil will have lots of perlite or vermiculite for drainage and some organic matter for nutrition. A few handfuls of perlite added to regular store-bought cactus soil will do the trick!
💩 Fertilizer
Echeveria 'Dionysos' grows very slowly and doesn’t require added fertilizer. Replacing your plant’s potting soil once a year should provide them with more than enough nutrition. Remember, plants get their energy from sunlight, not fertilizer!
❄️ Dormancy
It’s common for Echeveria 'Dionysos' to go dormant in the wintertime and you may notice their growth slow down. Waterings should be spaced out more during this time.
🌎 Native Region
Echeveria 'Dionysos' is native to Central and northern South America.
🧐 Troubleshooting
When troubleshooting a sad-looking houseplant, start by checking for signs of distress in its leaves, such as yellowing, browning, or drooping, which can indicate overwatering or nutrient deficiencies.
Inspect the soil moisture; too dry or too wet soil can cause problems.
Ensure the plant is getting the right amount of light, as too much or too little can stress it.
Finally, consider environmental factors like temperature and humidity, and adjust care routines accordingly to revive your plant.
