How to fertilize ET Fingers

Most potting soils come with ample nutrients which plants use to produce new growth.
By the time your plant has depleted the nutrients in its soil it’s likely grown enough to need a larger pot anyway.
To replenish this plant's nutrients, repot your ET Fingers after it doubles in size or once a year—whichever comes first.

My Jade plant has been drooping over lately. She hasn’t lost any leaves and otherwise looks healthy. I think she’s just top heavy. I saw how some plant owners wrap wire around their Jade to support it. How do you go about that and what kind of wire do you need? #JadePlant #SucculentSquad #NewGrowth #NewPlantMom #TipsandTricks #helpneeded

Help!!! SOS This jade plant is not doing well, I got it from a student and I really don't want it to die😢 I've treated it 3 times with rubbing alcohol for what I think might be mealy bugs but I'm not 100%. What should I do??? #PlantsMakePeopleHappy #Jade #PlantTherapy #HappyPlants #PestControl #PlantAddict

Is this normal? #Crassula Hi! I randomly was gifted this lil guy and it was in a tiny tube of water. Once it rooted in soil it’s grown like crazy, but this isn’t what I’ve known jade plants to look like? 😂 I had to support it with a stick and it still grew and flopped over. I feel like this isn’t right? It’s under a grow light, but I’m starting to think they’re just not powerful enough for plants like this? #Jade #JadePlant #GrowLights

My string of buttons is growing aerial roots!!! So my plant is growing aerial roots and I couldn’t be happier! With that being said should I leave it or somehow cut it off to start a new plant? If I do cut it, where do I cut it off from?

Whoops, I guess I didn’t keep this little potential propagation wet enough? 😅 it was a little wrinkly the other day but not this bad… oh well #PropagationStation #Propagationfail

Crassula Moonglow update 🤩 I didn’t realize he was growing so fast there is a sizable difference in the first picture & second. one is from today & the second is from October 8th. In the first picture is about 18 sets of leaves & the second is 13 😱 I’m so happy it’s growing well because I was starting to think he was at a standstill… boy was I wrong ! Keeping progress pics is one of my fave ways to track the plants growing rate. 📏🤓 #HappyPlants #NewGrowth #NewGrowth #Crassula #Moonglow #BefAndAfter #SucculentLove #SucculentSquad #Succulents #GrowLights #GrowingSuccs #Succulents #PlantAddict

more #NewGrowth from my jade arrangement I did right before the seasons changed.. ❄️ I have four types in this arrangement 1. Hummel sunset jade 🌱 2. Jade plant cutting 🌱 3. Curly leaf jade 🌱 4. Ogre ear jade 🌱 They all are showing signs of growth & doing well together! Jades are so hardy, & they are very forgiving. I think they make great starter #Succulents 🤩🪴 5. Is a jade plant from another arrangement ‘silver dollar jade’ my cat olive somehow mutilated her right before summer ended so I lost a lot of growth, but it’s bouncing back & has been putting off new growth since the incident 😳 #JadePlant #PlantAddict #SucculentSquad #Succulent #CurlyJade #arrangements #HappyPlants #PlantsMakePeopleHappy

Baby Sun Rose? Care? Is this a baby sun rose and can it lean over or do I need to support it? As you can see he’s gotten much larger since I got him. #NewGrowth #PropagationStation #BabySunRose

I had this plant for a while and had someone care for it while I was out of town and all the roots shrivelled up. Ive tried propagating the leaves and it’s worked in the past but nothing has rooted in months
ET Fingers thrives in dry soil and should be watered sparingly. Use our water calculator to personalize watering recommendations to your environment or download Greg for more advanced recommendations for all of your plants.
☀️ Sunlight Needs
ET Fingers requires abundant, bright and direct light. Place it less than one foot from a window to ensure it receives enough light to survive 💪. Select your region to see how the current weather in your area affects the placement in your home 🏡.
🐶 🐈 👶 Toxicity
Greg does not have confirmed data on this plant’s toxicity. If you, a family member, or a pet consumes plant material of unknown toxicity, it’s always best to consult a medical professional.
If you or someone else ingested this plant, call Poison Control at US (800) 222-1222. If a pet consumed this plant, contact your veterinarian or the ASPCA at US (888) 426-4435.
💨 Humidity
ET Fingers enjoys lots of humidity. Provide humidity for your plant by watering regularly and thoroughly, since plants absorb most water through their root system rather than their leaves. They may also benefit from being placed next to a humidifier.
🪴 Soil
ET Fingers is very sensitive to wet soil, so choose a potting soil that drains very well and doesn’t retain too much moisture. A good soil will have lots of perlite or vermiculite for drainage and some organic matter for nutrition. A few handfuls of perlite added to regular store-bought cactus soil will do the trick!
💩 Fertilizer
ET Fingers grows very slowly and doesn’t require added fertilizer. Replacing your plant’s potting soil once a year should provide them with more than enough nutrition. Remember, plants get their energy from sunlight, not fertilizer!
❄️ Dormancy
It’s common for ET Fingers to go dormant in the summertime and you may notice their growth slow down. Waterings should be spaced out more during this time.
🌎 Native Region
ET Fingers is native to South Africa.
🧐 Troubleshooting
When troubleshooting a sad-looking houseplant, start by checking for signs of distress in its leaves, such as yellowing, browning, or drooping, which can indicate overwatering or nutrient deficiencies.
Inspect the soil moisture; too dry or too wet soil can cause problems.
Ensure the plant is getting the right amount of light, as too much or too little can stress it.
Finally, consider environmental factors like temperature and humidity, and adjust care routines accordingly to revive your plant.
