That looks like a dried up leaf to me! Usually that’s how leaves that fall off a plant and aren’t found right away look. They just sit and dry up. If there are leaves still on the plant that look like this, I think that means the plant is really really thirsty! If you water and the leaves continue to look like that, the plant might be too root bound to absorb water and need a new pot.
