How to fertilize FlameThrower™ Salsa Verde Coleus

Most potting soils come with ample nutrients which plants use to produce new growth.
By the time your plant has depleted the nutrients in its soil it’s likely grown enough to need a larger pot anyway.
To replenish this plant's nutrients, repot your FlameThrower™ Salsa Verde Coleus after it doubles in size or once a year—whichever comes first.

Any words of wisdom for this plant? I got this coleus plant from a science classroom after it had a ton of cuttings taken from it for propagation. Does anyone have any tips on how to help it recover? I gave it a new, better pot and trimmed off dead leaves. 🙏Thank you 😊 💚 🍃

potential pest problem?? Hey plant pals! Can someone help diagnose what’s going on with my coleus? Her leaves have been looking like this and dropping like crazy lately. Nothing in her routine has changed #Coleus

Not again Another plant of mine is looking wilted now! But this isn't even in the same room! Very soft leaves, and I just watered it as I'm writing. It usually sits on top of this crate, and when I saw how wilted it was, I tried giving it an hour or so of direct sunlight, but it hasn't changed! Idk what to do! #plantaddict #planttherapy #newplantmom

#Coleus This plant keeps growing fine but the color is fading so much. I've tried plant food and fertilizer. Still no change. Does anyone have any clue??? The leaves used to be so bright. Too much direct sun? I don't know🤷🏻♀️ #PlantTherapy #HappyPlants #PlantsMakePeopleHappy

Hi all! I’m new to this app. So I’m hoping someone can help me out! The Amish nursery I bought this baby from said she’s an Indian mint plant. Gorgeous and I love having her! However, I need some advice. Some of her leaves are dehydrated looking and others are very very wilted. I’ve not repotted yet because the nursery pot is huge and I don’t want to shock it anymore than it has been. How do I help this poor baby? THANKS!

Hey 👋 I need help identifying this plant. I think it's not a coleus but that's what Greg says. I've had him for awhile so I lost the name before I joined Greg and this was a clipping that I've had in water. #Coleus #identify

FlameThrower™ Salsa Verde Coleus doesn’t require additional humidity. Plants absorb most water through their root system rather than their leaves, so the best way to provide humidity for your plants is through watering the soil.
🪴 Soil
FlameThrower™ Salsa Verde Coleus does best in well-draining soil. A good soil will contain lots of organic matter such as coco coir as well as perlite or vermiculite to help with drainage. Adding a handful of perlite to regular store-bought potting soil should do the trick!
💩 Fertilizer
FlameThrower™ Salsa Verde Coleus should be repotted after it doubles in size or once a year, whichever comes first. Fresh potting soil has all the nutrients your plant needs, so as long as it’s refreshed yearly, you shouldn’t need to use fertilizer. Remember, plants get their energy from sunlight, not fertilizer!
🌎 Native Region
FlameThrower™ Salsa Verde Coleus is native to Old World Tropics and Subtropics.
🧐 Troubleshooting
When troubleshooting a sad-looking houseplant, start by checking for signs of distress in its leaves, such as yellowing, browning, or drooping, which can indicate overwatering or nutrient deficiencies.
Inspect the soil moisture; too dry or too wet soil can cause problems.
Ensure the plant is getting the right amount of light, as too much or too little can stress it.
Finally, consider environmental factors like temperature and humidity, and adjust care routines accordingly to revive your plant.
