Finding light for African Ceropegia in your home

African Ceropegia may have difficulty thriving, and will drop leaves 🍃, without ample sunlight.
Place it less than 3 feet from a south-facing window to maximize the potential for growth.

How to fertilize African Ceropegia
Most potting soils come with ample nutrients which plants use to produce new growth.
By the time your plant has depleted the nutrients in its soil it’s likely grown enough to need a larger pot anyway.
To replenish this plant's nutrients, repot your African Ceropegia after it doubles in size or once a year—whichever comes first.

This is a desperation post. My momma passed away in February, and she absolutely adored and cared for her indoor plants until she couldn't. My dad started caring for them with her telling him what to do. #StringOfHearts

Should I untangle all these? #StringOfHearts

Can't believe I've had my #stringofhearts for a little over a month now ❤️ With this recovery month, she has grown so many new vines and leaves and grown 7cm longer 🫶🏻🌿

Proud of these babies, I’ve lost a lot of plants along the way that I can’t bear to delete. Several are doing well but not the prettiest as of now. I have a few that are thriving. Despite some crispy pieces I’m taking care of… they are both gorgeous 🥰

Propping #stringsofthings Good morning! I’m prepping for an Etsy shop in the fall and am trying a new method to propagate #StringOfHearts - before I’d throw cuttings in rooting hormone and then in water. But I saw this online and want to see if it’s better. Anyone else tried this? (I’m also trying out a new #succulentsoilmix so I can compare that too.) You take a cutting of your strings, wrap it around your fingers to make loops, and then lay that flat on succulent soil in a little pot. I’m excited to see how this looks in a few weeks! 🌱☀️❤️❤️❤️ #leafycatplants

Mushrooms? Houston, do I have a problem? In both my string of things plants I have these funky mushrooms growing in them. I’ve never seen this in any of my plants until now. I recently repotted them into these cute star terracotta planters and I waited a week to water then… this. #mushrooms #PlantAddict #PropagationStation

Why is my string of hearts not growing? I bought her as a clipping MONTHS ago. I started her in water where she very slowly developed a few roots, and I saw little to no growth elsewhere. Eventually I transferred her to soil where she then put out one new set of leaves and one flower bud but that shrivelled and dried up. I’d been quite on top of watering at the time so this confused me. I was giving her fertiliser etc every other watering (about twice a month) when I remember, but otherwise once a month or every other month during the warmer months. She isn’t dead, she doesn’t look dead, but she isn’t growing. This is an issue I’ve had with some plants before, and they either end up growing or dying. This girly isn’t doing either. I’ve had her under a grow light for at least a month now, and last week I bought. A humidifier which is maybe a metre away from her. Any ideas whats happening? Any advice is appreciated. Thank you! #PlantsMakePeopleHappy #PlantAddict #NewGrowth #StringOfHearts #help #PlantTherapy #GrowLights #humidifier

#succulentsaturday 🌿 I cut some of my flowers off my Echeveria Blue Sky, & used this vase my grandma gave me to put them in. *tip*- don’t use water if you want to cut them to display them, it will rot them & won’t last. They have lasted about a month or a little less, since I’ve cut them and had them inside. That’s a long time for cut flowers if you ask me. Also wanted to brag on my VSOH, it’s so long & is doing so good! My boyfriend got me this for my first birthday we had together, so it’s a special plant! It even had a little string of all white hearts (photo 4) which is super cool. Hope everyone is having a good weekend so far! 💕 #HappyPlants #PlantsMakePeopleHappy #PlantAddict #NewGrowth #SucculentLove #PlantShelfie #SucculentSquad #Succulents #Succulent #GrowingSuccs #vsoh #StringOfHearts #stringsofthings #HangingPlants #variegatedplants #VariegatedStringOfHearts #Variegated #NewGrowth #cuteafsuccs #CutFlowers #BloomingSuccs #PlantLove #OutdoorGrowing

I just got it. And a lot of leaves have fallen since after 2weeks. But also a lot new growths. Is that just a part of adapting to change of environment? I water it ever week, draining pot, indirect light 1 ft from window. #VariegatedStringOfHearts

My princess getting the princess treatment this morning In her spa 🤗🛁🫧 I cannot believe how long, bushy & healthy she is! My boyfriend got this for me about two or three years ago on my first birthday we shared together. It’s a very special plant to me! She was so small when I first got her compared to now. I have struggled with strings & have had lots of ups & downs with them when it comes to caring for them & keeping them alive, but this baby has always been forgiving with me & has given me grace. 🫶🏻 & for that I thank her & treat her extra special & extra care to be fragile with her & her delicate long tendrils.. 🥹 I only bottom water her, and I keep her outside until winter in my screened in porch. I have her in a shallow teracotta pot for good drainage. I love her one all white tendril she has, it’s so cool to me. I always wonder what causes that in Varigated plants. 🌱 #HappyPlants #PlantsMakePeopleHappy #PlantAddict #NewGrowth #vsoh #StringOfHearts #VariegatedStringOfHearts #variegatedplants #StringLoversTogether #stringsofthings #ButtChug #BottomWatering #OutdoorGrowing #OutsidePlants #SucculentSquad #SucculentLove #Succulents #Succulent #succulentsunday #Teracotta #GrowingSuccs
