Begonia bipinnatifida
About Begonia bipinnatifida
There are over 2,000 species of Begonia, and horticulturalists have created even more varities by cultivating all sorts of shapes and colors! They're native to tropical regions around the world, but are now found in homes in cold climates as well. Their taxonomy is far more complex than other plants, with species belonging to different cultivar groups. They contain oxalic acid, so be sure to keep them out of reach in homes with pets or children! ⚠️

By the time your plant has depleted the nutrients in its soil it’s likely grown enough to need a larger pot anyway.
To replenish this plant's nutrients, repot your Begonia bipinnatifida after it doubles in size or once a year—whichever comes first.

What causing the browning? The browning is rough and crunchy, I could’ve been over watering possibly? I trimmed off a really bad looking leaf in hopes it would stop but has spread to other leafs. #Begonia #begoniaFerox #helpneeded #planthelp #PlantDiagnosing #PlantsMakePeopleHappy #PlantMoms

Man grow lights work wonders! The plants were previously placed in a sheltered front yard, but since moving them to a spot under an RGB aquarium light last week they've started to take off! I've got my Alocasia 'Platinum' tuber cut twins, my Alocasia pseudo-sanderiana 'Aurea', my Anthurium warocqueanum, my Anthurium *checks terrible handwriting on label* [Ralph Lynam x Napo] x [Fort Sherman x Ralph Lynam], and lastly my Begonia dracopelta. Oh yeh and has anyone with a dracopelta personally noticed how in bright light they go somewhat platinum? Coz i have another dracopelta in a dimmer condition and that has the reddish-brownish colours, what I'm confused is that online i see loads off dracopelta in high-lighting growing very dark, but mine is the opposite…? #HappyPlants #PlantsMakePeopleHappy #PlantAddict #NewGrowth #PropagationStation #PlantTherapy #GrowLights #AlocasiaAddicts #Alocasia #Anthurium #AnthuriumQueen #AnthuriumAssembly #Begonia #BegoniaBunch #FreshLeafFriday

Are these bugs? #Begonia #PolkaDotBegonia

What would you do? I’ve been meaning to post about my silly #PolkaDotBegonia! I’m finding her to actually be quite resilient. She has been in both too little and probably too much light, and fallen over many times. You can probably see why. 😂 So, is this how they should normally look?? Are these normal size leaves? Is she leggy? 🤔 And if so would you prop it or do you like how it looks this way? Just having trouble deciding what to even do. I was not honestly expecting this plant to thrive so much. 😂 #HappyPlants #Begonia #GregGang #PlantCorner

Is this flowering or creating new stems and leaves?! I wasn’t expecting flowering so soon but I do have her under a grow light and she has been growing like crazy since she went from propagated to soil! 😍🎉 #Begonia

Begonia stem cutting help please! I just got a new stem cutting of a begonia from some family and I’m wondering how the best way to propagate it would be. I really don’t want to kill it, and any help would be appreciated! I currently just have it in a little bit of water. Thank you! #Begonia #BegoniaBunch

Got this new begonia hybrid! She’s so pretty! She’s a Begonia ‘Sienna Swirl’. She needs shade to part shade, so I have her at the bottom of a tall cabinet with grow lights at the top and high humidity. As I add more plants, I think she’ll like her spot even more. #Begonia #HybridPlants

Dry tips...🔍 Hi community 👋 My begonia has some dry tips and I can't seem to find the cause of it. Soil is humid (not too much, I wait till the pot weighs less) and it receives like 1-2hrs of direct sun. It didn't have a problem before....but recently the tips are crunchy. I think maybe I need to change the type of soil? It has orchid soil as u can see in the pic. Hope someone can give me some advice. Greetings 🪴💚 #helpneeded #begonia #greggang #greggers #greggerssupportinggreggers
