Finding light for Assorted Ferns in your home
a window
Assorted Ferns can tolerate being far from a window and light source.
Place it less than 6 feet from a south-facing window to ensure it receives enough light to survive 💪.
Select your region to see how the current weather in your area affects the placement of Assorted Ferns in your home 🏡.
How to fertilize Assorted Ferns
Most potting soils come with ample nutrients which plants use to produce new growth.
By the time your plant has depleted the nutrients in its soil it’s likely grown enough to need a larger pot anyway.
To replenish this plant's nutrients, repot your Assorted Ferns after it doubles in size or once a year—whichever comes first.

Does my new staghorn fern need a repot? #fernfriends There's a root popping out of the drainage hole along with the soil not having any drainage in them.

Root rot or stress? I had to repot both of my foxtail ferns recently as the terrible nursery pots I got them in were infested with ants (AND the plants were so root bound there was hardly any soil left.. what was left was holding onto water way too long) and this one has been yellowing quicker since. I already had concerns about root rot since the nursery pots held onto water for so long, but there was so smell or obvious rotting while I was repotting (The bulbs were soft, but a lot of them actually seemed dry.. all the worst ones fell off too) so I’m wondering if this is actually root rot or if it’s just stress from the move? Maybe both? Help! #PlantsMakePeopleHappy #PlantAddict #PlantTherapy #NewPlantMom #FloweringPlants #FernFriends #FoxtailFern #PlumeAsparagus #RootRot #NewPotWhosThis #help #helpneeded

🌿 Happy #Sunday plant friends! 🌿 I had to condense my usual Sunday care routine because my paediatrics on-call shift started at 2 pm 👩🏼⚕️💉 Today’s focus was my tiny fern ecosystem — a miniature world balanced on a single rock, slowly finding its rhythm ☁️ I adjusted the water level, cleaned the glass, and checked that the roots are happy and hydrated. 💬 Tell me — what’s your Sunday plant ritual like? Do you go full spa day for your plants or more of a “quick check before chaos” vibe? 😅 #HappyPlants #PlantsMakePeopleHappy #PlantAddict #ecosystem #FernFriends #MentalHealthMatters #ADHDPLANTLOVERS

My plant is dying I have a Crispy wave plant. So they’re not literally supposed to be crispy like this. I tried more water, less water, more sun, less sun. But I know, I should have repotted it by now w new dirt. I haven’t gotten to it. It did start to get a little root bound, but could the bad dirt and the roots cas the crispness? I don’t want to repot it unless I can possibly get back to life. #HappyPlants #PlantsMakePeopleHappy #PlantAddict #PlantTherapy #NewPlantMom #PlantCorner #PlantMoms #FernFriends

Why is my fern not happy ? Recently my fern has started getting curled up leaves it seems like they dried even though I have watered it. I had it in a self watering pot and though maybe it wasn’t drying out quick enough and it was maybe a result of overwatering, so I repotted it and hadn’t watered until today, because it just seems like it’s getting worse not better. It had been doing great in this pot, it was a bit rootbound, but other than that it’s done fine. I have it in a northwest window. I moved it to a more sunny spot because I’m trying to figure out what’s wrong. Does anyone know what could be the cause ? #FernFriends #AutumnFern #helpneeded #Question #PlantAddict

It’s Friday morning, almost the weekend!!!! #TheWateringHole Haven’t been on much this week. Had a routine procedure, but the “sleep” Versed/fentanyl combo knocked me down 🥴🤮😵. Still trying to bounce back. Anyhooooo yesterday afternoon I had enough energy to mess with my plants. Been wanting to set up a spot for the orchids so new table from AMZ and a grow light from rePotme ☺️. Could fit only 3 of the 5 orchids under the light, so guess I need another light 🤣. For now the philodendron gets the bottom shelf with his own personal light 💡🤭. I need to research the proper height and intensity of the lights for the 🪴🪴🪴plants. I’ve got a light meter arriving Sunday. How do you determine how far away the light should be from your plants? That would be a great Planty 101 for Nadia @DreamMachine Grow Lights 101🙌👍. #HappyPlants #PlantsMakePeopleHappy #PlantTherapy #GrowLights #OrchidLovers #PlantCorner #Philodendron #GregGang #SucculentSquad #SucculentLove #FernFriends
