About bambino arrow plant
Alocasias, commonly known as Elephant Ears, are some of the most common houseplants although their leaves can reach enormous sizes when grown outdoors! 🐘 They typically only support a few leaves at a time (more, when they get more sun!) so don't be concerned if you see an old leaf begin to retire after a new one emerges. They grow out of underground corms which are similar to bulbs, so next time you repot keep an eye out for baby Alocasias! They contain calcium oxalate crystals so be sure to keep them out of reach if you have children or pets! ⚠️

Most potting soils come with ample nutrients which plants use to produce new growth.
By the time your plant has depleted the nutrients in its soil it’s likely grown enough to need a larger pot anyway.
To replenish this plant's nutrients, repot your bambino arrow plant after it doubles in size or once a year—whichever comes first.

Corm germination tips? #corms Hey y’all, after a massive spider mite infestation I decided to chop nearly all the leaves and harvest the corms on my alocasia. ( hoping it can recover but preparing for it to fail) I’m gonna start trying to propagate the corms and last time I tried it didn’t go as well as I hoped. I’m planning on using sphagnum moss and perlite as the substrate but was wondering if y’all had any tips for me on the rest of the process!! Thanks!! #AlocasiaAddicts #Propogation

My alocasia has been suffering for a while….. so I finally decided to make the e big chop and change the pot to harvest the corms, ready to give it one last try but expecting him to die. What do I find when I start loosening the dirt you might ask? A goddamn death wrap. Well now I know why he’s been so weak at recovering and so stunted I guess :/ moral of the story I harvested all the corms and I’m gonna see if he likes being in sphagnum moss and perlite more while I try to get his spider mite problem under control and hopefully keep him alive 🤞 also I’ll be germinating all of the corms(9) wish me best of luck….

Leaf burn? I just bought and repotted this plant. The color of the leaves have turned this orangish-red color. Is this from sunburn?
