Philodendron 'Jose Buono'
About Philodendron 'Jose Buono'
Philodendrons grow aerial roots that grip the bark of trees, allowing them to grow over 20 feet tall! Their leaves change shape as they climb and can grow larger than a dinner plate. Fossils show Philodendrons growing as far back as 30 million years ago when South America was still connected to Antarctica! ❄️

What are these insects? So I just figured out today, while inspecting my plant, that there is a lot of this insect in my philodendron jose buono. They seems only crawls on the soil and the pot and strangely does not infest other plants that arr near them The plant strangely looks fine and pushing new growths. I never change the soil since I bought it from store, so they are maybe beneficial mites but Im not sure. And if they are pests how can I got rid of them? Sorry for the low resolution pic #philodendron #josebueno #pestcontrol #mites

And #PlantMail did not come to play... here's my new #Philodendron 'Jose Buono' :) Beautiful pattern on the leaves and already on a pole, too! Arrives with his pal 'el choco red' this week and I'm also more than excited to see how it develops! I was torn between this and a Paraiso Verde, but the pattern on the leaves just got a hold on me. lol Hope it thrives!!! #HappyPlants #PlantsMakePeopleHappy #PlantAddict #PlantTherapy #PlantCorner

Leaves turning transparent Does anyone know why the leaves would be turning transparent? It seems otherwise healthy and is growing well but the older leaves are becoming see-through. It's the only philo I have with this problem 🤷🏼♀️ it's like the green healthy part is dissappearing. #Philodendron
-
Plant ID Can anyone tell me what this plant is? It was labeled as a philodendron verrucosum, but I don’t believe that’s what it is.

What’s up with my philo🥺 Hello friends! My Philo Jose Buono has started having a rough go and I can’t pinpoint why🥺 this is now the second large leaf in the past week that’s gone yellow but this one is also browning.. the new leaf is brown and crispy too. I wasn’t too worried with the tiny original leaves yellowing bc I figured that was due to age but this seems to be a bigger issue. I’ve been very regular with watering the recommended amount and I can’t spot any pests. I’d really love to grow this fella nice and big (and avoid having a second Jose buono with no leaves in my rehab terrarium😅) Thank you for your insights as always! #GregGang #SadPlant #Philodendron #PhiloFlock #PhilodendronJoseBuono #help
