About Philodendron gloriosum
Philodendrons grow aerial roots that grip the bark of trees, allowing them to grow over 20 feet tall! Their leaves change shape as they climb and can grow larger than a dinner plate. Fossils show Philodendrons growing as far back as 30 million years ago when South America was still connected to Antarctica! ❄️

Philodendron gloriosum may have difficulty thriving, and will drop leaves 🍃, without ample sunlight.

How to fertilize Philodendron gloriosum
Most potting soils come with ample nutrients which plants use to produce new growth.
By the time your plant has depleted the nutrients in its soil it’s likely grown enough to need a larger pot anyway.
To replenish this plant's nutrients, repot your Philodendron gloriosum after it doubles in size or once a year—whichever comes first.

I couldn't resist this beautiful plant from Home Depot shoved in the back of a rack. Needs a little less water and a whole lot more sunlight. But I think Gloria will thrive ♥️ She already looks like she's putting up a fight #happyplants #plantsmakepeoplehappy #rescueplants #philodendron #plantaddict

My philodendron is browning I have a philodendron gloriosum that is consistently, slowly putting out new leaves, but the old leaves are browning and falling off. Is this normal? Is too much light, or not enough water?

Is this pot too big to replant my Philodendron Gloriosum in? Hi there! My giant #PhilodendronGloriosum has roots growing out of the bottom of its 17 inch self-watering pot and its stem is a lot over the edge of the pot. I need to repot it but it’s currently blooming with a new leaf spike. It also seems very happy. Do I wait until those are fully formed to repot? Or spring? It’s 34 degrees outside. Is 24 inches (black pot) too big? It’s in a white pot identical to the one pictured. Thanks! #HappyPlants #PlantsMakePeopleHappy #repotting

Did I do it right? I bought a crawler pot for my Gloriousum, but I'm not 💯 sure that I planted it so it grows correctly. Please tell me she'll be growing to the right? 🙏 Also, her first leaf under my care has unfurled, and she decided to keep doing the sport variegation! It's not huge, but she's young. 😂 #philodendron #freshleaffriday (too early? 😬) #happyplants #sportvariegation #ultrakoreanfir
