About Dragon Blood Tree
Did you know the genus name Dracaena comes from the Greek for ‘female dragon’? Some plants in this genus have thick, red resin which was reminiscent of dragon blood! 🐲 Dracaenas are native to Africa, Asia, and northern Australia, and are known for being super easy to care for. How to fertilize Dragon Blood Tree
Most potting soils come with ample nutrients which plants use to produce new growth.
By the time your plant has depleted the nutrients in its soil it’s likely grown enough to need a larger pot anyway.
To replenish this plant's nutrients, repot your Dragon Blood Tree after it doubles in size or once a year—whichever comes first.

I inherited this plant and a lot of the leaves are yellow and turning brown. How can I save it? #Dracaena

My plant is dying #Dracaena

It almost died with grandma Is it true I can cut this fella down with about 4"of bare trunk, put the cutting in water to root (allowing me to later bury up to the new growth on top), AND the stump will grow continue to grow? This is my wife's late grandmother's plant that I salvaged, so I can't get it wrong. #dragontree

To whoever threw this beautiful plant in the trash... we're out here living our BEST lives without you!!! ❤️ 🌽🪴 #dracaena #cornstalkdracaena #happyplants #newgrowth #plantsmakepeoplehappy About 6 months ago my husband found this Corn Stalk Dracaena next to the dumpster at work. It was in soil that was hard as a rock. He brought it home to me and I repotted it. It threw a big fit, lost leaves and even dropped whole branches. Yesterday, I saw 3 new stems (the other one is on the other side) busting out of both stalks. I didn't know that it would randomly decide to grow stems wherever it wanted to!! I thought that I would have to cut it to get it to do that! Apparently not! I'm so excited to see it fill back in!! 😊
