Itā€™s Wednesday at #TheWateringHole šŸŒæšŸŒ¤ļø Good morning everybody, or should I say good day [good evening, and goodnight!] ? After several days of ~95Ā° šŸ„µ I am so very very grateful to be back down in the 70Ā°s šŸ˜®ā€šŸ’Ø My plants, however, thought it was swell! As I was moving around my plants this morning I was thinking about the satisfying little tasks of plant care that are delightful. For me, one of my favorites is plucking off the totally brown and dried-up sheathes of cane begonia leaves. No force necessary, once they are brown and shriveled, I just touch them and they fall off in my hands. And I donā€™t *have* to do this, as they will fall off eventually by themselves, but it brings me joy. šŸ„° Another one is when I water, and the saucer fills up but does not overflow, and later when I go to check all the water was sucked back up and the pot is the perfect ā€œwell-watered weight.ā€ Do you have any small plant care tasks or activities that give you satisfaction or delight? (Itā€™s generally way too stimulating for me šŸ¤Ŗ) Now I just have this shop The Hoya Heaux (šŸ¤£šŸ¤£šŸ¤£) bookmarked, and donā€™t use anything else. Itā€™s a small family business selling both unrooted and nicely-rooted hoya cuttings and small plants. Hello everyone, I hope you are well. Here is my first batch of habanero peppers. Often what I do is I dry them in the oven. Grind them up. This time I think Iā€™m gonna add a little red curry to them. Then put them then put them in a shaker. Sometimes I grill them with olive oil and a little salt. Alright, I completely caved and finally got two little cuties that Iā€™m really hoping to just as healthy as the photos! @Jho was kind enough to show me this seller a while back, and I decided alright letā€™s do it! First is a variegated billietiae, and second is a caramel marble fire tiger šŸ… Then Iā€™m so excited to find a variegated piper nigrum! (Aka a black peppercorn plant!) I have a regular peppercorn vine that is climbing with my vanilla, so Iā€™m excited to add this to my other variegated vanilla and now variegated peppercorn! Yay!
