Here are the sculptures as they exist today. I finally have all the air plants I want (who am I kidding?).I may have to rearrange them again as I’ve discovered hot glue and wood glue loosen the in the rain. I ventured out this morning to inspect the plants before the sun becomes too intense and bright. I’m back inside now, but not before capturing a few photos. The greenhouse is incredibly humid this morning! The acclimating outdoor plants are looking remarkably better. #TheWateringHole Good afternoon to all my #TheWateringHole friends! It has been forever since I’ve started a post! I’m off work today recovering from our drive home from North Port, Florida yesterday afternoon. Lots of watering and fertilizing going on today. I knew eventually someone would try to get me out of my comfort zone of the succulent world. My stepdaughter, after killing off succulents (including a prop or two from me!) has gone plant crazy and decided to share some of her prop efforts with me. She gave me a small pot with a combination of neon pothos and marble (?) pothos and a prop from her green prayer plant (hers is gorgeous). Everyone please pray that I can keep the prayer plant alive! We went to a plant sale while we were there. I was a good enabler and she bought 2 Hoyas. In turn, she encouraged me not to leave empty handed. I bought a tiny pot of variegated string of hearts. I’ve got to figure out were to put all my new goodies! Has anyone else stepped out of their plant comfort zone recently either by choice or being gifted? My new shipments are Hoyas came today, and so did my little, little cute cyrtosperma johnstonii! I can’t wait to see these dinosaur 🦕 scale-like leaves! My #gymnocalycium cactus is blooming!!!!! When I bought him he had the teeniest flower buds, as you can see in his profile photo. That was probably about a month ago. A few days ago they started opening and today they are FULLY open! They smell like dirt and rotting leaves, very pungently. UPDATE My flowering young desert rose (Thar) has finally started to bloom, and after doing some research, I found that this little one might be an Adenium socotranum; which would explain why it looks so different from the rest of its seedmates. Honestly, I thought it was elongating despite being in full Florida sun 😅 (family photo below). This also means that there is a good chance that I wasn't ripped off and these little guys are in fact different species I just have to wait for another one to flower to be 100% sure. I can’t begin to express how deeply this plant holds significance for me. It belonged to my foster father, who passed away in September 2025. When we were cleaning out his apartment, I took it because it was in a state of disrepair. My foster father was battling numerous health issues, including the amputation of his right leg above the knee, which caused him immense emotional and physical pain. When I say the plant was in poor condition, I mean it was in a truly dire state. I brought it home and placed it in a cup of water. A few days ago, I noticed that it had developed beautiful new roots, so I transferred it to a 10 inch clay pot. This plant is named Kevin in memory of my foster father, who has passed away. I apologize for sharing this sad story, but I wanted to convey the profound impact this plant has had on my life. #HappyPlants #PlantsMakePeopleHappy #NewGrowth #PlantTherapy #PlantDads

Hello everyone just a quick update on my rose bush: she’s full of bulbs and starting to produce flowers. Pretty in pink, my outdoor plants seem to be doing very well with all the rain we’re getting. I’m so happy! My undulata is actually looking pretty good; this is one of my first ever Hoyas. I’ve heard these ones can be a little more tricky?
