What do yall think about this potting setup? This is how I got it from the seller. No drainage just leca on the bottom and moss on top. Should I change anything?

Just wanting to show off lol- been wanting a Ruby Ficus forever, and it finally got here today! Was worried b/cuz it took 10 days to get here- dang USPS…and it’s hot- 90’s. Of all the hoyas that have bloomed for me recently.... this is one I'm actually proud of. as in "I'm counting this one as an achievement" proud. Since I've heard the serpens can sometimes be difficult to bloom, I couldn't believe my eyes, when I saw some of the myriad peduncles they seem to put out "just in case" regularly were actually developing more. This one is actually the first of several peduncles about to bloom, and I can't believe my fuzzy cutsey luck. Each singular blossom is about the size of a leaf, making the comparatively huge peduncles surrounded by the tiny "snake" heads absolutely magnificent. Like with her daughter, the Mathilde, I'm not a fan of its fragrance, but really, who cares: One of my hoya serpens is in bloom! I will try to capture the whole plant when more peduncles are open, because the size difference between peduncles and leaves is so remarkable, but for now I was scared to move the plant until the blooms are fully open. #hoya #hoyahangout #plantsmakepeoplehappy #happyplants #pedunclewatch

It’s Wednesday at #TheWateringHole 🌿🌤️ Good morning everybody, or should I say good day [good evening, and goodnight!] ? After several days of ~95° 🥵 I am so very very grateful to be back down in the 70°s 😮‍💨 My plants, however, thought it was swell! As I was moving around my plants this morning I was thinking about the satisfying little tasks of plant care that are delightful. For me, one of my favorites is plucking off the totally brown and dried-up sheathes of cane begonia leaves. No force necessary, once they are brown and shriveled, I just touch them and they fall off in my hands. And I don’t *have* to do this, as they will fall off eventually by themselves, but it brings me joy. 🥰 Another one is when I water, and the saucer fills up but does not overflow, and later when I go to check all the water was sucked back up and the pot is the perfect “well-watered weight.” Do you have any small plant care tasks or activities that give you satisfaction or delight? Had to repot my Snake rosettes because they were popping up out of the soil. Today I come out to water and I have a little pup!! I did not see it when I repotted- but it was there because I took a photo after I finished. Ted was so convinced that we were making coffee when I brought out one of our coffee trees; this is a propagation dwarf coffee plant for a friend. But Ted loves to help me make the coffee. He samples all the sweet stuff and sometimes things he gets a bean and spits it out. But Teddy loves to help. Hi all, need some advice for my Swiss Cheese plant. Got it from Greg shop. It was full and beautiful and doing great outside…took it inside for winter and I almost lost it- my house is very dark-but I have many grow lights. Spring came and she went outside. I got into Electroculture- put one in her soil- and this big stinker has blown up. It has 5 huge new growths, each on very leggy stems….12+ inches. I’d love to propagate- but I’ve never done it. I’ll show pics. Do I cut the whole long stem? Where do I cut? The second time this has bloomed in the 14 years I’ve had it! The last time was 5 years ago and it was 1 flower so I was more than excited that this time it had 2 flowers!! I won these #greggivesback Hoyas a little over 1.5 years ago and just wanted to post an update 🙂 The 2 longer ones only had a few leaves when I first got them, now they're so long I have to wrap them up just to have enough room. The other 2 were just tiny propagations when I first got them and they have finally started to grow more leaves. They're currently crammed together under a grow light, but does anyone know if these will do well in a north facing window? Lots of plants 🪴 stuff today.... Early this morning I went downstairs and watered all my veggies. That's my first flower 🌼 🌸 on my nastrium. #happyplants #veggiegardens #plantsmakepeoplehappy Got lots of tomatoes 🍅 😋 and peppers 🌶 Them peppers 🌶 turning red. Last year it took them forever to turn red. Instead of pickled peppers this year hubby is going to put some in an olive 🫒 oil bottle.
