Good, Sunday, morning everyone. I have a question. 🤔 I have discovered, literally, hundreds of American beauty berries growing on my property. My friends are telling me I should pot them and sell them. I potted three so far, for my own oasis, and to see how well they do in pots. Do people buy these plants? What do you think? As I mentioned earlier I spent decades cutting mowing them down. Now I am reading that they have many uses including jam, attract pollinators, birds love the berries and the leaves, 🍃🍂allegedly are a natural mosquito repellent. #bluejavabananatree I've removed 4 pups that were 2 to 3ft tall and sold them before I could get them into a pot! 3 pups left. Momma plant is on steroids and flexing nicely! 10ft to the top of that leaf...just 2 months ago (as some of you know) it was a 3-1/2ft tree. Hello everyone. Here is a photo I took in the Green Swamp Wilderness Preserve. This is the headwaters of the Withlacoochee River in west central Florida. Cypress Trees and Sable Palms. I may head back out there very early this Saturday and do some biking. Hello everyone hope you and your plants are growing. Here’s an interesting Vine that I saw flowering while mowing in the back of my property this evening. I had to look this up. It’s identified as Japanese honeysuckle. Of course it’s invasive and it was brought into Florida over 200 years ago as ground cover. I thought it looked pretty cool so its took a picture. Hello wonderful and blooming plant people. I hope you are well. Here is an update on my Chaste tree. When I received it, it was riddled with black fungus and infested with insects with a considerable amount of damage. I took the plant out of the pot inspected the roots thoroughly put it in fresh soil in a bigger pot. I then sprayed it with knee oil. The next day I sprayed it with copper fungicide, several doses. I then pruned off all the fungus and infested leaves. It seems to be doing very well and has exceeded my expectations of it for recovery. In a few days, I will plant it in the ground.
