I’m not even sure what to say to this… my silly Alocasia. I thought she was way too young to have so many babies yet… my mistake for not checking sooner. But has one ever found a corm going out the hole on the bottom? Ha ha 🤦‍♀️ What the Hades?? I just had to share my kitchen plants; I’m so excited about these babies! That and my Prestonia quinquangularis is finally making her beautiful comeback! When she arrived, she had terrible travel shock, and I lost her to the point of a single stem. She’s finally looking better. I’m so excited. My majestic philodendron started opening into new, gorgeous, bigger leaves. I love my pink plants. So don’t be surprised if you see more pinks 🫶🏻🌸🩵🐾🪴 My citruses arrived today! So excited. It’s a Dwarf Buddha Hand Citrus Tree; Rio Red Grapefruit; Sunquat Tree; Marumi Kumquat; Fukushu Kumquat Tree; Eustis Limequat Tree, and then my caladium bulbs. I’m so happy! My undulata is actually looking pretty good; this is one of my first ever Hoyas. I’ve heard these ones can be a little more tricky? Does anyone else have more experience with a particular Hoya? Any suggestions as far as making it better?? Otherwise, what’s your favorite Hoya you’ve grown? Like, wishlist?? Alright, I completely caved and finally got two little cuties that I’m really hoping to just as healthy as the photos! @Jho was kind enough to show me this seller a while back, and I decided alright let’s do it! First is a variegated billietiae, and second is a caramel marble fire tiger 🐅 Then I’m so excited to find a variegated piper nigrum! (Aka a black peppercorn plant!) I have a regular peppercorn vine that is climbing with my vanilla, so I’m excited to add this to my other variegated vanilla and now variegated peppercorn! Yay! Here’s my new planter box I just put together this morning. I put water sealer on my planter boxes so they last longer because they’re outside they are outside in the Florida heat and humidity. The next stage will be one more coat of sealer and then the interior liner. I will have it all done by this evening. Worked all day yesterday on my plants. I was not planning on doing a garden vegetable; I usually just help my mom do hers. But this year we have my brother and my sister plus their families back living in the area. So we needed to step up the veggies this year. I’ve NEVER grown broccoli, artichokes, or carrots from seeds, but what the Hades! I got the seeds; let’s see what we can do. Finding somewhere I can plant my tomatoes without affecting my berries. 🤔 So I settled on a kinda forgotten part of my backyard. It’s right between an old cinder block 🧱 shed and the greenhouse. I figured my vents open to the veggies this way so it makes them get a little more humidity as well as it stays warm back there year-round and blocks them from heavy winds. We got our heat-reflective sun tarps up, so I’ve been moving things in and out of the garage all day.
