#TheWateringHole Happy Monday to everyone at the #TheWateringHole! Hope everyone had a nice weekend with their plant oasis! We’re getting a lot of rain here, which we desperately needed. I managed to avoid having to water the outdoor flowers. Speaking of outdoor flowers, I snapped a few pics of our hosta blooms and one of our outdoor planters yesterday afternoon, but never got around to posting. The last picture is my new baby pitcher plant my stepdaughter had shipped to me. She let my hubby know she was sending a plant, but didn’t let me know what it was, so it was a #PlantMail surprise! Now I just have to study up on how to keep it alive. It’s sitting out on my front porch for now. Any tips appreciated! What’s happening at your oasis? Any new blooms, leaves, plants, pets? Roots growing UP?! Last week I took a couple of stems from my Pink Princess Philo, and put them in water, hoping for new roots. Chamging the water, the new roots caught my eye. I did not know these guys roots- grow UPwards!! Hello everyone, I hope you’re having a great day and you and your plants are growing. I visited the county master gardeners’s nursery this morning. I bought another giant plum ginger and a passion vine. I am going to start building a couple of these tables for my plants. I thought I would share it here. Here’s what they use in their nursery, two by fours and hardware cloth which is quarter inch chicken wire supported by cinder blocks. The dimensions are 8 foot long by 22 inches wide . #Philodendron My two new philos! I’m upset my El Choco Red is a little damaged with washed out color so I hope I can get it to come back. This Black Cardinal on the other hand is gorgeous! I’m a new Alocasia Polly owner- I noticed she was starting to droop so I watered her 2 days ago thinking she was thirsty. She is even more droopy now. Her soil feels dry.
