These two plants came potted together. I don't think its a good mix. It looks like two types of planting media in the pot. How long can they stay this way before I need to repot?

I have 4 orchids. I can never keep them alive. I've had them since late April and one had already lost all ours blooms. The other 2 snap ones are not doing well. The big one is doing alright. I'm misting them w orchids food? Any help appreciated
